Delivered much faster than expected. Actually, I found out that the seller is less than one hour drive from my house. Qualify of the "used" book is better than expected.

Very good text for probabilistic engineering design. Amazing examples. This text is very good for mechanical engineers as well as civils.

Book can a little difficult to read at times.Practice problems seem well-written and probably relevant to Civil Engineering (I'm a sophomore student, so they seem relevant to my eyes, anyway)....however, the Solution Set is RIDDLED with mistakes. Like constant mistakes. Big small conceptual ordinary/mathematical. It's kind of shocking. I tend to experience the deep learn of material in a slow methodical way, via practice and hours of performing problems, so to have to sort through mistakes in the solutions is really pretty disgraceful. Someone should do something about this and issue an amended Solution Set. It's pretty embarrassing for them, really....

Very useful book! I bought it for my class that requires exactly this book! Though its kind of pricy but it is worthy.

Recieved in a good condition, useful topics, needed textbook for probability course.Comprehensive in "Analytical models of random phenomena" and "function of random variables" topics, includes Matlab codes for Monte carlo sampling(easy codes).One chapter for "regression and correlation analysis" which is easy to understand.
