On the outside this key fob looks like my original Mazda5 2009 automatic key fob.Except the key head, inside is completely different. On the left is purchased one. On the right is original one.I only needed the buttons. They do fit into original casing, but they are a different design on the back. So useless too.

clip does not lock so key bit keeps coming detached from main holder

Couldn't get the circuit board to fit in and close plus the key wouldn't flip out so not very happy with product. Having to go to a key cutters to get help.

The key part did not click in and lock into the main part of the unit. As a result the 2 pieces would come apart when you pull the key out of the ignition.

My old key had a big crack on the top part where the actual key part is in, it didn't affect the function but still not very nice to have a broken key.This is a whole key case replacement, there's obviously no internals but everything else is there, it's actually not hard to replace the whole thing, it's easy enough to take it apart as long as you know how, just put in the old internals in the new case, and attach the key part to it, i was done in less than 10 minutes and followed a nice guide on how to do it.Sadly instructions are not included, but each key type is different, mine is a mx5 so there are tons of guides out there anyway.The new case is not the same quality, but it does feel decent enough, an improvement over the old broken one for sure anyway.
