Quality Solder
I have used Ersin Multicore Savbit solder for more years than I care to remember, as it is one of the most high quality solders that you can obtain and is manufactured to exacting specifications. It was developed to combat the problems associated with standard tin/lead solder i.e. dissolving copper, this is especially important when soldering PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) as some of the track widths are as little as 0.4mm. This is vital when producing PCBs, but just as important when repairing them. The other benefits of this solder are it will also preserve your soldering iron tips as there is a precise amount of copper added to the solder, this also helps eliminates any absorption of copper when soldering. I do as a rule use a good quality solder paste when preparing leads for soldering, but I use as little as possible as there is nothing worse for corroding your soldering iron tip, a good practice is always use a damp sponge to wipe clean your tips as you are soldering and especially when you are finished. When I am repairing PCBs and replacing electronic components I simply use Ersin Multicore Savbit straight to the track or component to be soldered and I usually have my soldering iron set at the 195-220oC, but this would depend on the ambient temperature of the area that I was performing the repair.I always carry a size 5 tube of Ersin Multicore Savbit solder in my tool bag as I do a soldering iron and de-soldering tool for emergency repairs, if the repair is quite extensive and needs a reasonable amount of work I prefer to take it home if possible where I have a temperature controlled soldering station, if this is not possible I will bring the station to where the repair needs to done. This solder represents good value for money as there is no local outlet for this without going to the next town or city, as I have said this is the only brand that I have used for many years and I don't aim to change at this stage in the game. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good quality solder that will provide a suitable repair medium for PCBs, electronics, cables or connectors, highly recommended.

Excellent quality, magnificently easier to control.
Good quality, easy flowing solder, that made the job a lot easier than previously with a generic lead-free solder.Well worth the extra cost to protect the piece being soldered from the risks of overheating when using poorer grade products. Highly recommended.

The dispenser could be designed better.
This is the only solder that I’ve ever used and then only occasionally, but it is easy to use and holds well. I’ve found that the original dispenser, on the right, is easier to use and so I always transfer the new coil into it. This is the reason for only four stars.

Have used this brand before it's one of the best
I have used a lot of solder in my life and highly recommend this brand. It's the best quality of solder for electronic circuits.

Proper solder.
As a telephone engineer for 40 years, I was raised on proper solder with multicore Innards. Just can't get to grips with the newer lead free variety. This is proper solder, as I remember it

Lovely solder; poor dispenser.
I love this solder - the flux smell reminds me of when I was at school, entering the world of electronics back in the 1970s.However, the dispenser is rubbish - the old ones had an aluminium outer with a hole at the end, and a plastic tube up the middle up which you pulled the solder from a pre-formed spiral storage. It worked well. This one has a plastic cap with a moulded groove in it, but it requires so much force to pull the solder up through the groove it can sometimes snap the solder.Maybe the canister was designed for thinner solder (which would pass through the groove easier)? Also, the spiral has a much smaller core diameter than the original style, which also makes it harder for the solder to uncoil. In case I'd got a duff one I bought another one a few months later from a different supplier. Same problem.
