RigolDHO1072 Digital Oscilloscope, 2 analog channels and 1 EXT channel, 12 bits, 70 MHz, 2 GSa/s, 1500000 wfms/s, 50 Mpts, 10.1'' touch display, 3 years warranty

I was nervous purchasing such an expensive instrument when it is made in China. I have had my share of bad luck with Chinese products suddenly failing just after you get used to using them. But the 12 bit resolution, the 2 g-samples per second, and the large screen are really great and I needed this for design work. I didn't think I would like a touch screen, but there is a switch on the panel to shut that function off if you want. I haven't liked many touch screens because they often become unreliable and flaky after a lot of use. I really like the probes; but this oscilloscope is front-end heavy so you have to be careful that it doesn't tip over (forwards) and land on whatever project you are working on. The waveforms are very detailed, and I use Lissajous forms quite often and the screen is large enough so I can split the screen in half (one side for waveforms; one side for Lissajous formations). I am still nervous about this unit failing, but it does have a 3 year warranty so that helps.

Rigol EU GMBH me envia un producto DEFICIENTE. El display aparece MAL ENSAMBLADO. SIN SELLOS DE GARANTIA. LA FUNCION TACTIL NO FUNCIONA. Parece un articulo reacondicionado, refurbished, reparado o perteneciente a un lote fuera de stock o dañado. No lo retorno porque tengo miedo a que amazon o rigol no me reembolsen el articulo y se lo queden. DESACONSEJO LA COMPRA EN EUROPA.Edito: ademas me sugieren amablemente que retire esta revision. Asi se queda.

The media could not be loaded. Rigol wurde mir immer wieder empfohlen. Die Freude hielt nur wenige Sekunden an. Aber seht selbst. Bei einem "800,- Euro Produkt" erwarte ich gewisse Qualitäten.Der Produktsupport hat mir dankenswerterweise bei einem Update weitergeholfen.

This is the WORST oscilloscope Rigol has ever produced, and I own several of their other models. Many of the menu options/settings are not functional. I read where they were not enabled in this version of software. WHY then did Rigol release it? I bought it for the "High resolution, 12-bit" performance and was VERY disappointed. I thought this scope would be "DPO" quality....nope! I needed XY performance as close to my analog scopes as possible for precision stereo turntable and reel-to-reel tape deck set up, and the performance of this scope is not much better than the 8-bit Rigols. WAY worse than even an entry level CRT analog scope. Also, PLEASE, RIGOL, get rid of the touch screens! You They are NOT NEEDED in a piece of test equipment and only consume processing power that could better be used for increased performance. This is NOT a video game! If I could give this a negative star rating I would. Unless this is dramatically reworked and made to do what Rigol claims, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I'm not wasting any more of mine to return it. NOT recommended!
