Bought this hammer and pegs set for my 1 year old grandson and he loves playing with it.It’s good quality and hard wearing which is just as well for the pounding it gets.Definitely recommend

Yep, no problems here - a classic childhood toy with endless appeal and durability. The peg fit is actually quite reasonable, being neither too loose that they pose no challenge remove / hammer in, nor too firm to allow this to happen. I seem to remember as a child using this toy in conjunction with building blocks to help create some pretty nifty little fortresses for my army men - ahhhh the memories! I suppose I should let my daughter use them occasionally! In summary:Positives:+ Durable+ Attractive and durable paint+ Good fitNegatives:- Some of our pegs are slightly mishapen at the ends - does not affect their fit into the holes thoughOverall, I recommend this product - great for improving co-ordination and general consruction / demolition projects, and I therefore award it 5 stars.

Bright colours, solid wood and easy to use.

Good fun. But the only frustrating bit is that the pegs don’t sit flush when hammered down, despite much hammering!! They are still sticking up a bit. This frustrated my son as the one in Nursery has pegs that sit flush when hammered.

Sturdy and well made. Bright coloured finish withstands punishment. Great simple toy

lovely toys for a little one to play with, i expect his dad will love it just as much.

My own children had hours of fun playing with this, so I didn’t hesitate to order when the time came around again got my first grand child. On first glance, it looks sounds and feels every inch a winner, once again!. Love the different coloured painted pegs and I’ve already discovered one can just as easily use them for separate play as well. Great value. Thanks

We have a number of Melissa & Doug toys in our house, and bought this as we knew that they were a good company; however, this toy simply isn't up to their usual standards. We thought that the first one that we received was simply faulty, as one of the pegs fell straight through to the other side without even being touched. We contacted Amazon, who sent a replacement, which seemed fine; however, two days after we received it, one of the pegs on the replacement toy fell straight through (after not an awful lot of use). Over two months, four more of the pegs have come loose, so for the moment at least, our little boy can only "pound" three pegs, and will eventually be left with no pegs to hit!This is an attractive product, it seems pretty sturdy and our little one likes playing with it; however, all of that is irrelevant given that it doesn't do what it is meant to do owing to a design fault that needs to be addressed. A disappointing product from an otherwise good company.

Daycare children loved it. But the pegs are so lose that they can just be pushed down with no effort. And they pull them out

This is made completely of plastic. And you can push the pegs back-and-forth with your hands. My grandson is a very big very strong boy for 2 1/2 years old. He does use the hammer just for fun sometimes. But this toy just falls over rocks a lot, and he just can pull the pegs right out with his hands. so honestly, it is not what I intended at all very cheaply made I guess I got what I paid for

A mi bebé le encantó. Pensé que tendría que mostrarle cómo hacerlo pero él solito lo intuyo... Lo malo es que el martillo está algo pesado para un bebé de un año que avienta todo y todo lo agarra de tambor jaja. Pero buen juguete, hasta a los adultos entretiene por un rato!

Ich hatte erst bedenken, dass die Stäbe durchrutschen oder zu leicht durchgehen. Aber es war der Renner am Geburtstag meines zweijährigen Neffen. Also super. Hoffe das es weiterhin hält.
