This set is great for water coloring. I just started water coloring but this set is a good set to own as a starter. The hairs don’t come off after washing and they absorb a lot of water and hold a nice shape with a nice tip. I don’t have any breaking or cracking happen on the ferrules yet after a few uses. P.S. before first use, wash the hairs throughly with warm water and gently massage them. This will loosen up the hairs and will then be ready to use!

Pretty nice brushes for the price! To be honest when I first got them I didn’t use them very much because I thought they seemed kinda cheap but now I really like them. They are not good for fine detail but they hold a lot of water. I am still holding out for a Kolinsky but these will do for now!

I bought these for my husband for his birthday. Although he is quite an accomplished oil painter, he hasn’t worked with watercolors for years. He was reluctant to “try” these brushes, but once he did, he couldn’t quit raving about them! He is amazed how much water they hold and how much control they provide. He is delighted, and since they were my gift to him, I am too!

I love these brushes. They are the only ones that I use now. Very responsive and they hold a lot of pigment. Excellent quality.

A replacement was sent out today. It is great that the company does care about users’s review. I will update the review after I receive the brush.2018/12/01 Initial Rebiew:I am using this set of pain brushes for watercolor painting. I like how much water it absorbed. However, the tip of #3 split (see the pictures). It was like this from the 1st time I used it and I thought it would get better after several usages but it stayed this way. If I hear from the seller to replace it then I will update my review. Otherwise, my suggestion is to look for something else because they are not worth the price that you have to pay.

I've been painting watercolors for a while and these hold a lot of water with a fine point. I think they work as well as the more expensive brand I've been using.

Very disappointing. Pictures are from after a single use. Hairs immediately started falling out with first use.

These brushes sing! They load up nicely and keeps the flow even while painting. Worth the investment.
