Modern Clock with 14 Day Running time from Hermle

My boyfriend is obsessed with clocks. I got him this as a gift and he LOVES it. He has fiddled with it to get the time accurate and says it keeps great time for 7 or 8 days now. He loves the ticking and the modest ding it gives at the top of the hour, and the visible moving parts inside. It is very nice quality, not cheap looking at all, with a nice weight and very classy looking. It's on his desk at work and he says he gets tons of compliments on it. Recommend for clock lovers!

...it *must* be positioned on a *meticulously level* surface for the pendulum to swing freely - if the little feet were screw adjustable, then this wouldn't be an issue, but the feet are fixed. We have an ancient fireplace and old, old wooden floors in our home that are very beautiful and original, but also hilariously unlevel, which ment much trial and error finding a spot for this clock. In the end, I had to level it with with some folded paper. And although I love this clock, a bit more thought in terms of easier leveling in its design should be considered, given it's price.Just an idea.

This is my first Amazon review. This item was very carefully packaged and shipped quickly. I was a bit confused as the same model number from other Amazon sellers states this clock is an 8 day movement....However, the description from this seller was correct as this movement ran for 14 days without stopping. Awesome clock!!
