Saves me time and tons of money by fixing things myself.
I have multiple different makes of vehicles to maintain. When the decision to purchase a Mercedes Benz was made, I knew that my cheap code reader was not going to cut it any more. The MS908P that I bought is awesome. Not only because it works on all vehicles, it does so much. I already used it to find an ABC issue on the SL55 AMG. I can't wait to find out how much I can do with this unit. This has renewed my interest in hobby mechanics. Although I am sure professionals would find this unit very useful for their business. Love it so far.

Autel Maxisys Pro is a very valuable tool for automotive repair
For years I would simply look at trouble codes to determine what is required to fix cars. A lot of times this entailed changing parts that weren't necessarily bad. The power of this tool is amazing and the detail you receive about every component of the vehicle makes pinpointing a problem painless. I would highly recommend this product.

NOT AT ALL USER FRIENDLY AND DOES NOT DO WHAT IT IS ADVERTISED TO DO.
After seeing this unit in use on YouTube I considered one would be a great asset to my workshop as I work primarily on Mercedes Benz, but also Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce, the latter two makes clearly shown on the YouTube clip as being covered by this Maxicom unit diagnostic and reprogramming device. Now, maybe Amazon have palmed me off with an outdated unit as the one I have received does not show Rolls-Royce in the vehicles covered and the format for operations is completely different to the one shown on YouTube. As aforesaid, I bought this mainly for use on Mercedes Benz and the YouTube video shows the unit actually being used to alter idle RPM, so that were my first tasks with it. With the format of operations different to what was seen on the video, I eventually got to a point where RPM could be adjusted, but was much restricted in how much could be done with it, against the unit in the video which seemed so much easier to operate and seemed to be unlimited in the adjustments to idle RPM it offered. First I used it on a C320 which I eventually managed to reduce the idle speed by just 50 RPM, which did help somewhat but not as much as I would have liked. Next I turned to an S350 fresh with the knowledge of how to adjust (within set limits) RPM with this unit on Mercedes-Benz. This time the unit would not even proceed as far as getting to the adjust idle RPM mode in the operations.I would add here that the 132 page manual that comes with the unit is also a nightmare to negotiate. Instead of an alphabetical index, it just shows an index of order items following it in the manual, which is useless when trying to look up a certain diagnostic operation or reprogramming technique when urgently needed.I would also like to state here my respect for Mercedes Benz vehicles and how I consider them the best 'everyday' car on the planet, and normally one of the most reliable. However all their AWD vehicles seem to suffer from premature ABS wheel speed sensor failure, (which one, easily identified by mundane diagnostic units) and the W906 Sprinter series suddenly developing a 'No Crank, No Start" situation without any warning, which can be a nightmare to identify as to which component has failed. So identification of the problems that have caused this fault was the main reason I bought one of these units. All I can say is 'absolutely hopeless'. Did not even get close to as far as my Mercedes Star C6 (copy) in respect of diagnosis of failed component let alone getting to precise component or ECU failure / reprogramming etc.Technical help is also a waste of space. I sent them VERY precise details of the problems I was having with many screenshots of the unit at the places it would not proceed further from. Not one directly associated reply on my issues received. Always skirting around the problem asking for VIN numbers of vehicles involved and serial number of the Maxicom unit I had been supplied.I would advise anyone NOT to buy one of these units as they do not do what they are supposed to do, (Unless I have been supplied an outdated unit by Amazon as aforesaid). You will be far better off, (in respect of Mercedes diagnostics) in buying a Star C6 (copy), which is far more user friendly and with a price of around $400 will give you around two grand still in your bin.Unless I get some very precise replies from Technical Help in the next 48 hours as to how to get my unit updated, (or exchanged for an updated unit) I shall be campaigning Amazon for a return and full refund on the basis that the goods supplied are not fit for purpose.

As someone who works almost exclusively with Mercedes i can say with certainty that this little computer is worth its weight in gold so far. if you have the diligence to do your part and learn how to use it, there is very little it will not do. from reading and clearing trouble codes that may or may not set your check engine light to reprogramming newly installed sensors or ecu's (although you will need some manufacturer info to do these last two) I am more than pleased with the specific breakdown of each code in the fault report readout. after having used the older Snap-on systems in the past (which were a huge headache and provided what seemed to me, a very vague answer to every code) this thing is a pleasure to work with. It also provides a search icon next to each code it lists in the fault report.....click the search icon and the computer immediately searches the web for all articles, blogs, forum threads, service bulletins, recalls, YouTube videos etc etc related to your code (which can prove helpful if its something you happen to be unfamiliar with). If your a serious do-it-your-selfer and never want to have to pay a dealer or big shop for diagnostic work and can afford to spring for it, this is the one you need. Likewise if your pro grease monkey, this will do just about anything you'll ever need it to.

Five Stars
So far its an excellent tool. Purchased for our collision shop and needed a better scanner with print capability since our old one wouldnt do it. Recieved this tool and we have this thing out daily now doing things we didnt know was possibile with the increased capability this unit offers. Also much cheaper for the level of usefulness than the other scanners out there now.

Disappointed
I bought the Autel ms 908p expecting to see whatever it says on Amazon. It’s very nice tool but one thing I didn’t see and called Autel about it too.It says you can program TPMS with this tool but I couldn’t find it anywhere and Autel tech says there is no TPMS programming on the 908p

Excellent tool!
I have used this tool on European, Asian and American vehicles. So far haven't found anything it couldn't do. I even did variant coding on a 2002 Mercedes-Benz directly from the tool! The only drawback so far is you can't download play store app. If, for instance you want to watch a youtube video, you have to go through the browser. (this next part is an edit to my original post) I also have a GM tech2 and a Snapon Modis Elite. Today I compared the Autel ms908p to the other two on a 2004 Chevrolet 2500 with a Duramax diesel. The Autel wins.It did everything the tech2 (which is the factory tool) could do. In fairness to the modis it did also but you have to change personality keys twice. The Autel is much faster than the others.
