I'm a Little Teapot (Iza Trapani's Extended Nursery Rhymes)

I love this book and my baby does too! Great illustration and colors.

I am a new fan of this author because the stories are based on classic songs toddlers love and hear often. Thus, the books keep toddlers' attention. The words are immediately recognizable to little ones and they can grasp the story right away as a result. That's such a thrill for toddlers in a world where so much is brand new and unfamiliar to them. Beyond that, the artwork is simply some of the very best I have ever seen in children's books. These books are beautiful and would make wonderful gifts for baby showers or birthdays. My mom is a children's librarian and she and her fellow librarians adore these books. My two year-old loves them and we have added the rest of this author's books to our daughter's Christmas wish list on Amazon.

What a wonderful book! I discovered this book in my son's music class. Every page can be sung to the tune of I'm A Little Teapot, and kids love it. The pictures are very nice, and interactive. You can ask your child to find the teapot on every page, and some of the books characters (bull, alien, fox) hide in the background on some of the later pages. It's fun to find them with your child. Lovely book, I wish there were more like this, it's a favorite here with my 2 yr old son, and I imagine it will continue to be, as he learns to read and sing along!

Was very pleased with this book. The seller advertised it correctly, which isn’t always the case. There are many new verses to the song in this book. They even take you around the world. Great illustrations, too. Love this!

I LOVE all the Iza Trapani books. She creatively adds extra verses to the cute little children's songs that we all know. I LOVE how the added verses turn the original song into a little adventure. In this story/song, the teapot is taking the children on a daytrip to show them all the fun things she likes to do. It is cute, easy to sing to your child, and my son likes the repetitive nature of it. Win win.

Love hate relationship with this book. My almost two year old loves it but if so have to sing/ read this book one more time I may lose it.

This was purchased as a gift for my little nephew. We received this book when my kids were very little and it's still one of our favorites (kids are ages 7, 6, 6, and 3). The pictures are well drawn and it teaches some new verses to an old classic.

This book was first given to me by a reading program at the doctors office. My daughter and I fell in love with the story. Over the years I've picked up a few more copies to give as gifts, baby showers, first birthdays, etc...Now 5 years later, I was terrified to find that we have misplaced our copy, not surprising because we took it everywhere! I had to order another copy to read to the baby (now a year old) and he loves it too!Great story which captures tidbits of information from all over the world that exposes different cultures and sparks educational conversation in a catchy rhyming song!Excellent!

A lovely children's book with a great rhyming voice. The pictures and illustrations are really good, the teapot looks so alive.

おなじみ"I'm a little teapot."の、歌の絵本です。この歌って12番まであるんですね。私は知りませんでした。ティーポットは、キッチンをでて、中国、スペイン、宇宙、はてはジャングルまで旅をします。それぞれの歌詞に素敵な挿絵があり、歌いながら読みすすめると楽しいですよ。歌を、知らない方も最後のページに楽譜がのっています。

マザーグースの歌の絵本です。最後のページに楽譜と12番までの歌詞がのっています。本文にも12番迄の歌詞が絵と共に書かれています。絵も可愛く色彩もパステル系で明るめで良いのですが、唯一大変残念だったのが、宇宙に行くシーンで宇宙人が出てくるのですが緑色の雪だるまみたいな体から手と足がつき、さらに目がひょろひょろとかなり長〜く飛び出している絵が有り、この本の可愛い雰囲気をぶち壊しにしています。エイリアンだからって醜く描く必要なんてないのになぁ〜これは子供向け絵本なんだし・・もう少し可愛く書けなかったんだろうか・・ちなみに最後のティーパーティーのお客として子供たちに混じってまた登場していて再度雰囲気ぶち壊しです。アメリカの絵本みたいですがどうもアメリカという国はグロテスク嗜好があるので要注意！です。でも全体としてはとても良い絵本で特にこの歌をマスターしたいという方には強くお勧め出来ます。（ちなみにWee sing のマザーグースのCDにはこの曲は収録されていません。私は曲は知りませんでしたが12番まで歌えるようになりました。メロディは単調でありながら飽きの来ない明るい感じで子供から大人まで好かれそうな感じです）
