Pencil Drawer, 21 in Wide, W/Partial Extension Slides

Installed this under a desk top made of 1/2" plywood; it took all of ten minutes. It was the perfect size, and the plastic appears heavy duty. The mechanism is smooth and seems sturdy (time will tell). I did replace the screws, with longer ones, and I used washers with the "teeth" so the screws stay put. Perfect for our needs.

Very functional and light drawer. It doesn't hold a lot of stuff, but it suits my purpose of clearing junk off my drawerless desk by holding pencils, pens, trinkits, etc. Although easy to install, you will need a 2nd person to hold it up under the desk to mark where to the drill the holes and again while you install the screws. It rolls great on the track and is nearly invisible under the desktop. No instructions included, but easy enough to figure out on your own.

I use to install office furniture (union) for several years. This is a nice plastic drawer, w/ ball bearings & steel slides! No surprises from the picture!-PROS- DEFINITELY PRICE! Mounts easily with 4 to 8 screws(included); It is about an 1 1/4" down for the first 4 1/2" in (for tall knees), then drops to 2 1/4" down from bottom of surface at lowest(good leg room); 22" wide(about 16" deep/back); Slides very well, even with a bit of weight; sturdy enough plastic to take the occasional jar.-Cons- Not really ... "Most" pencil drawers do not come all the way out from under desk. This one will have 4 inches still under cover when fully extended. (Still, easy enough to access the 4"... Pulls out (open) close to 11 1/2" from surface edge, when mounted an 1/8"-1/4" back (closed) from same surface edge, for a nice hidden finish/reveal (from upper views))Note: This does glide well, but not freely. Meaning- "not a slammer". It pulls open easier than closes, with no slamming effects ... which intern, means it is not super quiet/silent either. If that's what you need? In time it may become quite quiet? (subjective to each user)It's a "much lower cost", decent, very working, pencil drawer! Worth every penny, in comparisons, to me!

As others have mentioned, this is a high quality drawer. Easy to install.You must pull out the drawer 1.2 inches to fully expose the pencil/pen holder. This compartment can hold about 2-3 pens/pencils stacked on one another and still close. So, in total it could hold about 6-9 pens/pencils.You must pull out the drawer 4.75 inches to fully expose the four sectioned compartments. The compartments are each 2.75 inches in depth (front to back), 5/8 inches in height (top to bottom), and 4&7/16, 3&3/16, 3&3/16, and 8&1/16 inches wide, respectively, from left to right.The large compartment is 1 3/4 inches high and about 11 inches in depth.

This is a nice under the table modification if your desk didn't come with a pencil drawer or you just want to do something else with your furniture. The actual drawer deserves 5 stars, it's a shallow but spacious depth & rolls back and forth not too fast & not too slow. It has 6 compartments total, as seen in the picture. All very functional & useful. The full width compartment at the edge is great for stowing away frequently used writing utensils.The reason this review gets 2 stars knocked off is because it came with NO hanging attachments/brackets/screws. The Amazon listing advertises hanging "L" style brackets as does the manufacturer's packaging the drawer comes in. These were not included. Not sure if this is the product's fault or the seller's who may have misplaced them somehow?? Instead of doing the return process, because my particular project could not wait unfortunately, the screws & L-brackets were about $10 at the hardware store. Add Amazon $10 to the price, becomes less affordable than it seems. Other than that hiccup, great functioning pencil drawer with a solid click upon closing. Cheers.

Seems like it would be a good drawer but the silver part where the drawer slides came in broken. It probably broke because the packaging wasnt as sturdy. Found a way to fix the broken piece rather than returning.Update:There was a manufacture defect. No threading for piece to go in the drawer. I had to use crazy glue to stick that part on instead of it being screwed on. I did not want to go through the hastle of returning.

I purchased a new desk set from IKEA and really liked it. However, I felt that I still needed some sort of a drawer for misc items. After looking at the box stores, I found prices ranged from $80 and up. I looked to Amazon and found this item, with a lot of great reviews. It did not disappoint. Super easy to install, glides very well, and does just what I had hoped!!

mine came broken but i am going to fix it with super glue because it is too much of a hassle to return. all in all it is a nice product
