There is a trick to it.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Store the tape in the refrigerator. The plastic backing peels right off and the glue stays uniform and sticky. Makes it so much easier to work with.

It's very sticky, but it did eventually lose its stick
I was in a paiat my job when my canister vacuum lost its wheel and left me with a practically useless vacuum. I got this in hopes of making a good seal over the hole left by the lost wheel. It kinda worked? I did my best to surface prep, but I mean it's a vacuum, so much dust in and on my vacuum, it's kind of a fools errand. It lasted for about a week of daily classroom vacuuming but when it was time to change my vacuum bag and I inspected the seal, it had come loose. Now, I don't know that the application I was attempting to use this for was ideal, but I did expect more than a week. I was mostly concerned about temperature that this tape could withstand because my vacuum can get pretty hot after two hours of vacuuming. I was satisfied with how it performed in that capacity as my vacuum never melted it or anything.I think the biggest downfall for my with the flex tape is that my vacuum moves a lot as I use it and I think maybe this is supposed to be more of a stick it and never move it type of tape. It was a little tricky to cut, but cutting something this sticky is going to be challenging. I imagine if my vacuum hose ever gets compromised, this might be a good option, but not for a "repair" of sorts like I was hoping.

UPDATE - EXTREMELY difficult to use. (07/18/2020) For Specific Type Projects - Difficult to Use
This review is for Flex Tape Rubberized Waterproof Tape.....UPDATE AUGUST 31, 2021 - If I could give NEGATIVE STARS, I would. The photo is on a travel trailer door. SUNSHINE AND ADVERSE WEATHER RESULTS IN FAST DETERIORATION. PLUS, I have not removed the tape remnants for fear of damaging the trailer exterior.UPDATED JULY 18, 2020. STAR RATING DOWNGRADED TO ONE. I WOULD GIVE ZERO IF POSSIBLE. (LynKin)Since my initial review, I have tried using this tape 2 more times for application to a smooth flat surface which is probably the intended use. I FIND IT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO EVEN CUT THE TAPE SUCCESSFULLY. When using scissors the tape adhesive transfers to the cutting edges; the tape itself adheres to the scissors then folds on itself usually making that piece useless; the adhesive is EXTREMELY difficult to remove from the scissors, and I ended up discarding them. I have also used a box cutter which is somewhat easier, but the adhesive messes that blade up, also. Trying to clean the box cutter blade is still difficult, and one has the added danger of cutting oneself. Additionally, I get so aggravated having to fight this product. Too, I’m embarrassed to admit the tape always seems to win. The initial purchase price of this product is expensive. When one tries to incorporate the cost of the tape wasted due to difficulty of use, the cost skyrockets. I will NEVER purchase this product again. NO, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.I have one other comment. Since trying to use this product, I have paid special attention to TV ads. I have not seen one commercial promoting Flex Tape that demonstrates cutting it to get the length needed. The product itself does not include instructions, suggestions or methods for cutting the Flex Seal tape.*****My initial review is below.*******PROBABLY PURCHASED WRONG PRODUCT FOR THE TASK. STAR RATINGS ARE BASED ON MY ONE EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT Firstly, I am a 66 year old female; however, I do not have arthritis in my hands or fingers, and I’m usually able to do basic projects. I purchased this tape to seal a leak in the copper water line to the refrigerator ice maker. I realized too late the leak was the connection where the copper line attached to the water supply above floor level. The area was small and difficult for me to access. THE TAPE WAS DIFFICULT FOR ME TO USE. I had to cut it to size which WAS NOT an easy task. The tape stuck to my fingers and the scissors messing it up. IT MIGHT BE BETTER TO CUT THE TAPE WITH A STRAIGHT EDGE BOX CUTTER. There was no suggestion on the product or packaging how to cut the tape. It took me several tries to get the size of tape that I needed. I didn’t realize I needed to wrap around the connection which I found impossible to do neatly and correctly. I had most difficulty getting the tape between the back of the refrigerator, about 1/2” space, without it sticking and twisting. It was a mess. I ended up using several different pieces of tape, but I still wasn’t able to successfully seal the area as the entire circular connection needed to be addressed. UNKNOWINGLY, I PROBABLY PURCHASED THE WRONG PRODUCT FOR THIS TASK. Thinking back, the TV ads don’t show the tape being used for similar projects. They show the tape being applied to flat or corrugated areas or materials. They don’t show projects where the tape is used in small areas. The Flex Seal Paste might have worked better. NONETHELESS, I STILL GIVE INE STAR FOR ‘ EASY TO USE’ BECAUSE IT IS NOT. This review submitted by LynKin
