Works
Works as it should. I would immediately toss the metal case, you don't want to get a short and make something go up in smoke. You don't need it anyway, and some of these come with cases that are labeled incorrectly so throw it away. Looks better without it too.

Need time to figure this out
I am hoping to use this to program the Arduino Uno V4 with the spi pins.I have the Arduino IDE App on my computer.Information seems to show this is for a different Arduino board.Wayne

This is the REAL deal
Allow me to say that I was apprehensive of what quality I would receive with this ST Link V2 "clone". But low and behold what arrived is a properly soldered, genuine ST programmer. You can see where the silk screening was partially removed on the chip itself. But it is indeed a genuine ST chip. Took the firmware upgrade perfectly. I highly recommend this. No junk here.

Functional STLink, Knockoff Processor
These dongles do what they're advertised to, and function properly as a STLink debugger. However, if you plan to use any custom firmware, it is important to note that the processor inside is a CS32F103C8T6, a Chinese variant of the F103, and only has 64Kb of flash, half of the 128Kb usually found in STLink devices. Additionally, the hardware idcode is different, and tools like openocd will not work without configuration changes.Overall, both dongles I recieved at least did what they said they would do.

Works better than OEM programmer
I purchased an OEM ST-LINK v2 from an authorized distributor because I figured that was the path to the least amount of headache. As usual, my figuring needs re-figurin', because I never could get it to recognize in CubeProgrammer and the only thing it would do in ST-LINK was the firmware upgrade. At the advice of a friend I picked up this much cheaper option with better labeling and a nice form factor. Plugged it in, everything worked immediately in CubeProgrammer and I was able to read and write to my STM32 with no issues.Skip the official STM programmer, get this knockoff and save yourself money and hassle.

It works perfectly! Updates through official app and worked on 4 projects
This was spectacular! Worked for all of my projects multiple times, and is pretty durable too! 😅 Thank you! I took the advice from someone to get a 10ft USB cable. That worked wonderful!!
