It is very simple to use and very helpful to make for easy key programming

When I initially unboxed this product I found the diagnostic and service functions are disabled. To make them work you have to buy a $130 annual subscription. I can see how for a professional this might be worth it, but for someone like me it makes the product fairly pointless since my mechanic will happily diagnose any problem I have for $130.

El vendedor no aclara que el software es únicamente norteamérica, al activar con pago se activa para norteamérica. Y resulta casi imposible cambiar de región como Europa , Asia o south américa. Dejando al equipo inservible para latinoamérica. Si se compra en asia viene licencia especial para autos chinos, si se compra en europa se activa principal para autos europeos. Y para latinoamérica se tiene que pagar un pastón para poder dejarlo funcioanal. El equipo latino ayudó pero previo un pago bastante grande, aunque después de todo los gastos económicos extras el equipo es bueno. Lastima que no se especifique bien.

The technical support provided by Autel was great when I need to reach out to them with questions.OTOFIX IM1 has same functions as Autel IM508, but need pay for advanced IMMO features according to requirements.If you requires a professional key programmer to program cars like Mercedes, BMW, VW, Toyota...Autel IM508 + XP400 Pro will be a best choice.If you do not need to program too many car brands, but still require basic IMMO & diagnosis functions, variety of maintenance services, then OTOFIX IM1 Scan Tool will be a fine option.

This scanner seems well made and sturdy. We got it to try and get cars over before we buy them used, instead of dragging our mechanic along with us. It also helps keep mechanics honest if you can see what they're looking at when a light comes on. I'm no expert, ill be the first to admit. But this seems to have enough of what I need to figure out the basics and not get crooked at the shop or buying used. Still learning, but seems like it's a good investment
