Replacement battery is perfect
The media could not be loaded. I’ve only had it 2 weeks- so can’t speak on longevity. The battery was easy to install and fit perfectly. I use my vacuum on a daily basis (actually several times a day). I didn’t realize until I couldn’t finish a job just how bad my old battery was. Now I am using it several times a day and it still has power for several days.

Battery only worked a few weeks, then started dying
The battery worked fine for a few weeks, but after about a month started to provide only sporadic power. The vacuum runs for about 30 seconds and then sputters (rapidly turns on and off). Fortunately, I kept the old, dying Dyson battery, which lasts longer than the newly purchased battery. DO NOT BUY.

So far the new battery works great.
I purchased a Dyson V8 pet/animal Stick vacuum many years ago but had increasingly used it less because the battery wouldn't keep a charge long enough for me to complete all my vacuuming in one go. I have another upright vacuum that I love, and it works great, but it's a plug-in cord and having a battery stick vacuum ready to go is so convenient.Finally decided to take a chance and order a generic battery replacement. Have only been using it for a week or so, but The battery power is wonderful so far and the length of time that I have to use the vacuum before the battery dies is like it was when the vacuum was new.Glad I finally decided to get the battery replacement. Hope that manages to maintain a charge well. I used to keep the original Dyson battery plugged in almost all the time, but I won't do that with this one. So many people warn about either overheating or overcharging batteries so I will try to take better care of this new replacement one.

Great battery
Installing the battery was a breeze—just three screws and I was good to go. It came fully charged, which was fantastic, allowing us to use it right away.
