Great gown, comfy, washes well, wears well, fits well (line dry is only downside)

I needed and expected this to be a cool light cotton as advertised. It’s T-Shirt type cotton. I would’ve bought more if been the fabric I expected. My mom liked it well enough. It fits as sized and washed/dried very well. If I didn’t need a 100% cotton that is more like what you’d find with sheets I’d given it 5 stars but description an pictures were not accurate in my opinion

I own a LOT of nightgowns due to being confined to bed rest. After buying my first soft and snuggly Izzy & Toby treasure I returned and bought four more in different colors. I’ve been searching three years for ANYTHING in the electric shade of blue after binging Alias on Amazon Prime and seeing all of the CIA agents wearing shirts in that color. These nightgowns are soft and comfy and some colors have a neckline that evokes memories of Jean Harlow. I know how frustrating it can be to find comfortable clothes for women with wide shoulders. If you have wide shoulders you will be happy with the fit of these nightgowns. I don’t understand why some colors are made from a stretchy, somewhat warmer and less breathable cotton that resembles viscous. I own a floor length Eileen West gown made out of viscous and it’s SO stretchy that if I inadvertently step on the hem it will stretch so much I almost tumble to the floor! Fortunately the Izzy & Toby gowns end at about mid-calf on my 5’4” frame. The design also allows plenty of room for a larger bust without looking baggy on those of us who are less endowed. I purchased a size large because I hate struggling with a nightgown that’s wrapped around my legs! Other colors of the Izzy & Toby gowns are made from a much lighter, breathable, non-stretchable cotton lawn. A good quality cotton lawn is the next best thing to sleeping without anything on. I have head to toe nerve pain so bad I can’t stand anything that is too tight. The necklines are also different in the cut and trim detail. I don’t really care enough about the differences to return them. If you’re concerned about the intricate, delicate detail getting snagged or frayed when being laundered with other clothing, invest in a set of inexpensive mesh laundry bags. As someone who holds Eileen West nightgowns as the gold standard, Izzy & Toby may force them to up their game. You can’t find an Eileen West gown of this quality for a comparable price! That’s why I bought five! Hands down, these are the most comfortable and flattering nightgowns I’ve purchased in years!

Ordered a size Large. I am 5' 4" tall and 160 lbs. I have a more fit build.I was hoping the Large would not be tight and give me room to move around without being binding and this is perfect. Great fit. Armholes are the perfect size. Not loose but not tight. Flattering. Length is longer for me on my frame, calf length? But I like it. More of a modest cut in the chest area and I like that too.I have purchased Carole Hochman nightgowns in the past, THESE are more affordable and I took a chance based on the reviews. To me the cotton weight is perfect. I am not sure what people are talking about, it being too heavy. I do not think it is heavy. The weight is average and easy to sleep in. I came back and ordered a second one. No regrets in this purchase at all.

I was hesitant in ordering this gown, but after wearing it it's so comfortable and cool. I ordered the pink color and think it's very pretty. I definitely won won't be sending it back!!

I bought one of these nightgowns and loved it so much I now have FOUR of them! They’re so comfortable and cool to wear even in Florida. They are NOT see through. They also wash well. I do not put them in the dryer but rather hang them to dry. I’m only 5 feet and weigh 124 lbs and wear a medium size which fits perfectly. Highly recommend.

Liked this enough to order several more in different solid colors. I usually wear a small or extra small so if you are busty this might fit more snug at the underarm area than you would want. I am not busty so I usually have trouble with sleeveless things being too big and gaping at the underarm area which is not ideal if you don't want to wear a bra all the time. The small is perfect for someone petite and many of the colors in my opinion could be worn as a dress as the piping could work for both nightgowns and dresses if you like the fit as a dress. I actually bought the solid ones to use for dresses if I wish since I am petite and they actually go down to mid-calf and I can add a belt if I don't want to flowy look which I don't mind. Very happy with the four I purchased. I will say that the "green print" with the paw prints on it is more of a blue than green which is what it looked like on the monitor when I ordered it. The dark green and royal navy are true to what I thought the color would be based on my monitor color also. However, the wine red one I ordered is more of a deep purple than red to me but I really like purple so this is not an issue, but it definitely is not a wine red color.

Recommend this nightie if you like cotton and comfort. Would suggest you size up one size. The washing instructions say to hand wash, but I have washed mine in warm in machine many times.

It is cool, comfortable and doesn’t pull on your shoulders when you toss or turn in bed.Also love the colourWill order another in future
