Gear Aid HEROCLIP (Large) Carabiner Gear Clip and Hook for Hanging Heavy Duty Items, Camping Backpacks, Suitcases, Kayaks, Bicycles, Garage Organization and More

I bought three of these, I large and 2 medium after I saw them featured in photographer, Thomas Heaton's YouTube channel talking about his 'non-photography' gear. Seeing them it occurred to me there have been far too many times I've been in situations where it would be SO handy to be able to "hang things up", whether that is out and about doing landscape photography and I don't want to put my gear/bag on the ground, or one of those annoying times when I'm in a motorway services toilet and there's NO HOOK on the back of the door because IT'S BEEN BROKEN OFF. I've not used them in anger yet but I've tried them out at home and they do precisely what they are supposed to do. They might be a LITTLE expensive (it'd be nice if there was a discount for buying multiples, just saying guys) but they are well made, sturdy, versatile and lightweight. I'd recommend them

I’ve only used this for a few scenarios, like hanging a bag from a door in a public toilet (you really don’t want your bag on the floor of some public toilets….), and it’s perfect. If you have been caught in a summer rain storm, and don’t want to hold a wet coat, and don’t want to put it in your bag, you can hang it by using this off the back of your bag to let it dry out whilst you wanderIt is basically a deluxe carabiner, with a literal twist. it is oversized (this is the large, so this was what I expected. i can’t comment on the small or medium sizes), but over time, that’ll give you the versatility to hang gloves, coats, and more from it, and find more uses for it, as you need them.Out there, hours away from shops or transport, you need something that works in multiple ways as needed, and this really does seem to be one of those items

These are just brilliant. Please note the large is "Large". I have both the large and the medium sizes. I find the medium a much better size which is more practical to use. The medium size is perfect hiking etc

Extremely well designed and made to same high standard

This arrived in a plastic bag, not manuf's packaging, with visible signs of damage. It appears to be made to far worse tolerances than my original pre-GearAid unit. It's hard to be sure if it's just counterfeit or they're made much more cheaply now. It scrapes in a nasty way when you close it.Not at all impressed- debating whether to return it, as it's either counterfeit or just plain badly-made. Not sure which.

Clip works perfectly, though is quite big. I only mention this as my standard sized rucksack still touches the floor when hung from a table. Would be nice to have the higher weight capacity in a smaller form factor

I stumbled across this when looking at travel videos and it was an instant buy. If for nothing else than having a hook to hand your bag on a toilet door so your bag doesn't have to touch the floor, it will be worth every penny.
