Cal-Van Tools 389-100 14mm Insert,Multi

Easy to use Cal Van kit with all necessary tools, fixed the problem myself, saved thousands of dollars. Great instructional video, have driven about 2k miles now with zero issues. Great quality tools, everything worked perfectly, easy to align reamer on the engine, tap the threads, and install the insert. Insert is high quality, as others recommend, run a spark plug through the internal insert threads prior to install to make everything work smoothly. I used a large nut to clean up the insert’s outer threads so install in the aluminum head would be flawless. Works perfectly, and trust the vehicle to go anywhere I need.

this worked perfectly for my 2006 Ford F150 4.6L Triton Engine, purchased extras in case I need them in the future, you need to buy the special triton kit to get the drill and tap and guide to do this correctly, my truck is back on the road with no issues. I purchased the lower cost repair kit and it had the wrong inserts, so I had to order these separately, the lower cost kit had everything I needed with the exception of these inserts, so it worked out well for me..

You get what you pay for, if you are looking at this product you are thinking about it getting ready to do a pretty big job on your triton, probably the v10. I got the kit ( which has 8 of these) but needed 2 additional. Don’t skimp out and get some cheap foreign made part. Just spend the $ and get calvan.

What a money saver for me! I bought the kit which only has 8 inserts in it and then bought 2 more for my V-10. Even if you do not plan on doing the work...this is the best insert on the market along with the install kit.

The replacement costs of each one of the inserts seems a little bit high it's a it's a good kit otherwise but seeing they're selling more of and they should be able to give us a break on them

Does what it's for and haven't had a blow out, but double check to make sure the threads are good one of the ones I got wasn't cut well.
