The book was great. There was a bit of damage and delivery was late but other than that I was satisfied

This book is so good!.I don't know why I've pushed this book around for so long,I regret it now.I literally did not sleep a whole night just to complete this book!.It has a good plot.It is well written.

Excellent plot, well developed characters and worth the money.

Characters are well developed. Main character Yelena is brave, strong. Even side characters Ari and Janco are funny. Valek is best character(Yelena's love interest)

Maria V. Snyder is a good writer.I never had to stop and re-word something in my brain to make it better. Her writing is so natural it takes you there and you don't have to think about it.Author's writing abilities aside, Poison Study from it's very first paragraph, is dramatic. It's characters have depth. I cared about what happened to Yelena from the very first paragraph, but that only grew chapter by chapter as her past was purposefully revealed and as she kept facing harder and more deadly challenges.On top of that, there's a love interest which keeps you guessing for most of the book. The tension was entertaining to read. So, the story includes themes of love, danger, hopelessness, friendship, loss, inner growth, mystery and loyalty vs. intrigue.On top of that, there's a magic system and politics.Ending there, this was a happily full book for me. The only thing the author could have done a bit better were the surface level love scenes. She could have made those bits more fleshed out with foreplay and included some of the physicality of it all. I think she cut the curtains too early, I wanted to feel them together more than she had written if that makes sense.I thoroughly enjoyed this book. To be honest this is probably my 4th time reading it. I discovered it in high school and I'm 29 right now, so I think that says something.

I'm not a big reader but this book kept me very interested and I enjoyed it until the end. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I bought a book from a parallel series of Poison Study and I was a bit lost in the story, but I was absolutely captivated by the writing and the world-building.I expected nothing less when I got this trilogy, but I got more. I devoured the book in idea and was completely enthralled by Yelena's story and her adventures.
