Excellent ratcheting bit driver for leatherman bit set. Adds much needed functionality.
Ratcheting bit driver for leatherman bit set. Works amazingly well. Is sturdy and lives up to the expectations of any off the shelf ratcheting screwdriver. Doesn't seem like it will easily break or have the ratcheting mechanism overcome by force

Excellent tool to compliment your leather man
Works very well. Ratchet teeth are precise and plentiful. Item fits perfectly into the leather man surge case along with extra bits and saw blade. Really compliments the surge well and I find that the ratchet effect is far easier than trying to turn the entire tool with the classic bit extender. Works well for household tasks and I do not doubt the durability of this tool. I have no issue with the item being made in Taiwan, as Taiwanese steel is excellent and the majority of tools are also made there. I would prefer something made in the US, but it is a non issue for something so small and of such high quality. Know the limitations and use the right tool for the job, as in don’t overturn it and it shouldn’t break as some seem to worry about or suggest. I do make sure to lock the ratchet mechanism before replacing it in the leather man sheath, which I feel may prolong the tools lifespan. Overall it is an excellent tool and if it were to break in 3+ years out of warranty I would happily purchase a new one to replace it. I also really appreciate that it will work with standard bits just in case, but I do not expect to need the feature. Overall I would highly recommend this tool and I appreciate the design as it compliments my leather man surge. Unless you are planning on abusing it I would recommend it over the classic but drive extender tool, despite the short warranty period.

A Great Little Ratchet Extender For The Leatherman Multitool.
I've owned quite a few multi tools with different brands. And recently I just bought a multi-force which could used any 1/4 standard extender and was far more cheaper than my Leather man ti-Charge +plus and the Wave+plus multi-tools which needed this extender for a better used on the handy repairing job. In order for my Leather man to use other universal standard round screws other than the flat ones,I chose this extender to match some of my Leather man tools. This ratchet extender driver is made in Taiwan and it is an innovative feature with multi directional and that was the reason I bought it. The built is quite strong even though I haven't heavily tested it but I could feel the inner mechanism that reduces the amount of wrist movement needed to utilize the bit driver when adapted to the Leather man charge plus for some light tested on all the universal standard bits. What I really like is the quite strong magnetic bit holder to keep bits secured when attached to it and compatible with Leather man tools that have replaceable bits. This little ratchet extender is an excellence extender tool for some of the Leather man multi tools but the CON is its price is high. Just add a few dollars I can buy a Walmart Multi-force which is great multi tool can use any standard extenders. There is one great US made extender a lot cheaper than this one. Unfortunately,it is a uni directional extender use more strength on the wrist so I chose this one. I believe the price would go down in someday but I couldn't wait.

Amazing. It's worth $40 to me.
I am really impressed with this Leatherman ratchet accessory. It allows you to use all of your 1/4" bits. For years i could not justify spending $40 on this. But having the ability to repair most items while away from home is worth it.

Total Gamechanger
TL;DR: I am a fanatic about the excellent Leatherman ratcheting bit driver and recommend it to anyone who will even ocasionally use it. There are 2 small caveats.I am an electronic access control technician by trade, auto and FAA A&P mechanic by training and thus remove and install fasteners of all kinds multiple times daily. I bought my ratcheting bit driver over a year ago and have used it almost every working day since and use it at home regularly as well. I absolutely love this tool and rate it among one of my favorite tool purchases ever.My Leatherman Wave+ goes everywhere I go and has been an absolutely essential everyday item for me for years. I loved having a Philips bit in my pocket at all times but found the flat profile of the Leatherman bits to limit it's ultimate usefulness. A coworker informed me of the ratcheting bit driver that adapted to my Wave+ and before he even had time to Google it I had one on order. I also ordered the holster with the side sheath so that I could carry the Leatherman and the bit driver right on my belt while at work. This combination has replaced most of my tool bag for 90% of my daily work responsibilities. The ratchet is very high quality for the price. Certainly not the same quality as my Snap-On or Matco ratchets, but of course I didn't expect that from a $30 ratchet. Bear in mind that it's not intended to compete at that level and if you have high quality ratchets from other manufacturers, you know how much they can cost even for 1/4" drive. Unsure of tooth count, but it's more than enough to be useful in the majority of applications without issue. The magnet is quite strong and confidently holds the bits.Being able to adapt any 1/4" but onto my Leatherman at any time has absolutely changed my working life. I love this tool and can't recommend it more highly. That being said, there are 2 caveats:There are a few reviews citing the use of plastic materials. The only plastic part is the directional control ring. Otherwise, the ratchet and teeth are both stainless and have stood up to pretty significant torque and daily use over the past 13 months of ownership. The plastic direction control ring has developed a hairline crack that I'm sure will require a warranty claim at some point but has not affected my use of the tool in the months since I first identified it.2nd caveat relates to the depth of the bit reciever. A standard 1" apex bit will sit just below the chamfered shoulder which, depending on application, can limit access to certain fasteners. I believe this is due to its other intended application with the actual Leatherman brand flat profile bits. A tad annoying in some situations, but I have circumvented this by buying 2" bits of my most commonly used types and haven't had any clearance issues since.Aside from those 2 items, I have been absolutely thrilled with the quality and performance of the bit driver and would instantly purchase another were it to break or get lost.

Remarkable engineering
This is a very smooth and nice-to-use ratchet, especially given how compact it is. It's no wonder, then, that there are *several* different aftermarket accessories to convert one of these into a standalone miniature ratcheting pocket screwdriver. I haven't gone that far, but I did pick up a pocket clip from Etsy to use with it. It's a cherished part of my EDC, now.
