inktonerplus Compatible Toner Cartridge Replacement for HP CE278A (Black, 1-Pack)

The price of after market toner is why I buy it. On this particular occasion, I bought two cartridges because that qualified my order for free shipping. As it turns out, the first cartridge left repeating toner marks down every page and I returned it for a refund. The second cartridge works just fine. So the parting advice I have for any buyer is to be sure you try out the toner cartridge that you buy. If I coincidentally had just happened to put the good cartridge into my printer first, then I would be sitting here with a bad cartridge in my closet, not realizing that it would be too late to return it if I waited three months from now before I tried it out.So I reviewed this toner on May 4 and had returned the first cartridge. Today, it is May 14 and the second cartridge has started leaving smear marks down the left margin of every page. Not Happy. I have ordered new toner, upping my price to $28 from a different vendor. We'll see how that works out.

For the price that I paid for this thing (about 15% of the price of a real HP cartridge costs) I am fairly impressed that the first couple hundred pages of print have come out as well as they have. Not sure how long it will last, but I don't care. I bought a few of them. The plus is the price point. The negative that I have found is the shading. Normal print and bold print is fine. But if you have an Excel spreadsheet with multiple shades on them, it will not display the shaded areas with the effectiveness of the original HP tonor. You must know this. Other than that, this is a great replacement, especially for those that just print out regular correspondence and monochrome text based output.

I just bought it a week ago. It seems to work but it makes a noise in the printer. As of now, I'm still holding my breath but it is working. (When I got such a good deal on it, I keep looking for what is wrong with it that it is the good deal that it is.) I had saw good and bad reviews but so far mine is working just fine other than the noise when something prints.

This low cost toner cartridge prints very cleanly and evenly! The one I received, however, is causing a printer error message of "Supply memory warning", but at this price I am a happy purchaser. I don't mind the error message simply because it continues to print very well and I am saving lots of money at the same time compared to an OEM.

Very streaky. Pay the price for Name brand rather than trying to save money. Leaves streaks and smudges

Great value. Just make sure they all work OK right away. Amazon takes back for 30 days from purchase. You probably won't use them all by then. If you find 1 defective cartridge after the 30 days you won't be able to claim it. Test all as soon as you get them.

Last week my printer/fax and I started arguing. I had replaced my ink cartridge with the “compatible HIGH QUALITY Toner cartridge” CE278 (replacement for HP CE278A) within 2 days I started having jams and black streaks on everything I would print. So, I decided I’d open up my machine, give it a thorough look over – blow it out – making sure nothing looked suspicious. After closing my lid, I sat down thinking for surely I had satisfied it in some way, I hit my print button again….WELLLLL, a huge loud snap, bang, BOOM, shit/damn/oh hell it came to an abrupt stop, giving me one long distressed BEEEEEEEEEPPPPP!!!!!!! I opened it up and along came this very distinct heated ink smell accompanied with a big black cloud of volcanic ash. The stupid cartridge EXPLODED!!!! I got ridiculous black powder everywhere. I immediately cleaned out my machine best I could, replaced the cartridge with #2 that was sent and believe this…….THIS P.O.S. has gave me brutal HELL - jacking up everything I attempt to print by smearing this nasty icky thick smudge along the entire page of everything I print!!! As of 20 minutes ago, I do feel somewhat better though. It was only after I yanked this giant plastic powder magic marker out of my printer and have taken it outside and slammed it into the bottom of my dumpster so hard, it went into a few hundred pieces.

This toner cartridge is so amazing. It is new and the printer reads chip just as it would an original HP over priced cartridge except this one has tons of toner and just prints and prints. I bought 1 and was so impressed with number of pages it will print I bought 10 more and the first one is still going. I can't believe the outstanding quality & capacity of this cartridge.
