Special edition of two albums taken from the discography of Satellite, one of the best progressive rock bands from Poland. The band was founded in 2000 by Wojtek Szadkowski, who wrote and co-wrote nearly all Collage's music and lyrics. Both titles are a must have for all art/progressive rock lovers! Now available in a special edition - 2 CDs for the price of 1!

Lost Treasure
Somehow I missed this CD back in 2003. Not sure how that happened. I am only very glad that even though with these tough economic times of 2008, I managed to scrape together enough to buy this CD and the newest one "Into The Night". I have to say that this one is much better and more interesting than the newest release. They almost sound like a completely different band. The band is simply incredible on "Sunrise" and well worthy of the fantastic cover art by Mark Wilkinson (Fish's cover artist). I related to every note, every lyric, every sound. This really is a true classic of progressive music. But mysteriously the band changed since then and became darker and slightly more metal sounding. I really didn't care as much for "Into The Night". It didn't nearly capture the great majestic feel of "Sunrise". It is an OK CD, but the music is more dense and the songwriting and lyrics are not nearly as interesting and didn't seem to have the depth that "Sunrise" did. It is also shorter and less melodic. I really hope these guys realize this and return back to the more melodic, more majestic tunes. They had twice as much power as any prog-metal band. I very much recommend "A Street Between Sunrise And Sunset". It is worth far more than the purchase price.

A gift that keeps on giving
Although I had some difficulty getting into this album initially (it took me 3 or 4 listens before it clicked), I have loved it ever since. The thing is that while some albums can make a big impression on the first listening, and then lose their interest after 3 or 4 listens, I have been able to keep listening to this album periodically over the last year or so with no diminution of sheer enjoyment. Their music is just incredibly rich and wonderful. This is music at its best.

straight from the orGASMATRON !!!
Been listening (like me) to progressive rock since the 70s? ..or even the 60s? Still want more? Then scarf this puppy up N-O-W. DON'T miss it!!! Here's why. There are two...count 'em...2!, HolymotherofGodthisisbrilliant!!! prog MASTERPIECES etched into its bits! I'm talking KarnEvil 9/Close to the Edge type tref---ingmendous MASTERPIECE status no-holds-barred...the goods it's got! Here they are: Track ("cut" to us Olde Pharts) 1: "The Evening Wind". Lord have mercy that thing is 12:45 of sheer Heaven-on-ears...I am NOT exaggerating one bit (sorry...) Even my wife (who buys Trace Adkins CDs) thought it was great on FIRST hearing. Progheads will ADORE it! I kind of like it the way I like the UK "In the Dead of Night" suite, although it's not as jazzy. No, the guitarist is no Holdsworth but he IS quite talented and plays mighty grooovy lead passages you're sure to enjoy. Speaking of which...His leads on MASTERPIECE 2: "No Disgrace" will just plain singe your ear hairs off! Ooh man this thing's been swirling around in my head for a week now, non-stop. Sooo catchy and compelling...I just wanna mainline it over and over... Something perhaps a tad like "Going for the One"... concise, every section almost better than the previous one. In fact if it had been ON "Going for the One" I guarantee you FM radio would've drilled it down our throats until we puked it! Fortunately, today that isn't going to happen...although for Satellite's sake I'd like to see this record SELL like a Yes album.Speaking of sell... I'd gladly buy any progressive album to get a MASTERPIECE composition equalling either of these two. This thing's got BOTH of them. Ya CAN'T pass it up! And you'll thank me... (and THEM.)P.S.: There are 2 (count 'em!) TWO, other numbers on here that are, by progessive standards, quite good and WELL worth a listen. They're just not uncanny fabulous standard markers like the pair I just gushed over. Check out track 2: "On the Run" and track 6: "Now." Now would be good.

true neo-prog at its finest
Lush melodies, long symphonic instrumentals that are captivating within each song make this prog band a must listen! This is what neo-prog is supposed to be like. Each track blends seamlessly into the next one as if the entire cd were one long song. I love this kind of music. Thank God there are true gifted musicians out there instead of all the generic crap out there my kids listen to.If you like Sylvan,Frost,IQ you will love this.

Not Good
I can't believe what the other reviews say about this disc. The vocals and music are wimpy and sappy. I bought this after I read the "If you like Frost, you'll love this" comment in the top review. Frost "Milliontown" is one of the great prog-rock albums of the last 10-15 years. To compare this piece of musical pablum with that masterpiece is criminal.

If you buy it you wont be disappointed.
If you are a music lover and enjoy prog rock then this is for you. Great value with two albums for basically the price of one. Both albums are excellent, very melodic with some great guitar passages. The sound of Satellite reminds me a bit of early Marillion (Fish era) which is recommendation in itself . Takes a couple of listens and your hooked. Just hope there is more to come from this band. Already ordered another two albums on the strength of this. If you buy it you wont be disappointed.

Sidéral!
Absolument magnifique.

A Street Between Sunrise and Sunset
A Street Between Sunrise and Sunset is an utterly superb example of Neo-Prog Rock - Into the Night no where near as good but a Street Between Sunrise and Sunset is fantastic - superb musicianship, drumming and guitar playing to delight your ears. I have listened to this CD hundred's of times and it never disappoints. it truly should be classed as a - yes you've guessed it? A Classic.
