Not a full proof device. Have seen birds come by. Perhaps the eye flipped with breeze. Nothing on back besides exposed gray plastic. Some other brands infact are both sided.

Worked for us!
These worked perfectly for our trouble space, which was a small area between our retractable awning frame and roll of fabric above. We tried small spikes (couldn’t do tall spikes cause it’s a small space), and the birds built right on top of the spikes. We laid these mirrored eyes across the awning bar at an angle, and poof, no more birds. And no harm caused. Very happy!

These haven’t worked for us, and they keep twirling in wind
They are often ending up facing the wrong way from blowing in the wind, and we still have a bird problem after hanging them around our covered deck.

Finally!
After enduring several years of damage to our house by woodpeckers, I had just about given up on finding effective deterrents. (Tried electronic devices, owl replicas and other things but, after a few days, the birds ignored them.) These simple wind-blown plastic sails with abstract eye graphics actually disturb woodpeckers enough to cause them TO FLY AWAY!

Darn Cardinals
Unnfortunately my two cardinals are not afraid of anything. My window is a great attraction to the darn birds.

Keeps birds from nesting
Bought this to deter birds from building nests in the corners of our gazebo. Seems to work so far. Kinda cute, too !!
