Goodbye Blow-dry, Hello Rosemyst
I'm so glad I took a chance on this product, and company. With naturally coily kinky hair I used to hate the blow-drying process. It was so tiring and noisy, it caused major breakage, it made me sweat while spoiling my efforts, it made the whole room feel like a sauna, and I would end up with a big pooffy crispy mess that was never really straightened in the first place. No more! I love this straightening comb. I have used it twice now and it still amazes me. I think the problem with a lot of these comb reviews happen when people treat it like a comb instead of treating it like a heated tool. You have to detangle your hair first, you have to heat protect your hair first, and you must, MUST apply tension. Don't just pass the comb through your hair, and expect it to come out straight if you have super coily hair. Treat it like you would a flat iron. You don't let your hair just rest there when flat ironing do you? You stretch it out with you gloved hand after detangling, and use the heated comb in slow passes. I can even get my roots straight with this comb, because I use tension. Which never happened with a blowdryer without a hot scalp burn. Also if you have fine hair like me don't got to the maximum heat setting at 450. That's a mistake I've made in the past with hot tools, and I got heat damage as a result. I like setting both this comb, and my flat iron at 380-350. Let it fully heat up so you won't have to pass it multiple times. Wait an extra 30 seconds after it stops blinking. If you have a heat protectant that goes up to 450 then you should be perfectly fine. Plus it has an ionic button you can turn on to keep frizz down. The buttons never got in the way. I only wish it had a longer timer before automatic shut-off, but I understand why that is and it's not a major issue. It came with everything you see in the picture and the instruction booklet was to the point. It can also switch to Celsius if that's your cup of tea. It feels solid when I hold it and it's easy to clean with a damp cloth. I liked the look of the box so much I did not throw it away.In any case I'll be using this for all my straightening needs paired with my flat iron, and my HSI Professional Thermal Protectant. It's going on two weeks, and my hair is still straight. Unheard of for me! A++

Worked surprisingly well
Yeah, Ok, so I was skeptical about this as another gimmiky thing, and I was wrong. For context, Im male and have that extremely dry, middle eastern type, wavy/frizzy hair, that when gets long pretty much just drinks up all moisture and styles itself in whatever direction it pleases. Ive long avoided growing my hair too long cause of this and this brush was a last ditch effort before I was going to chop it off again. Well, much to my surprise, this works, and works really well.Biggest thing for me was, Im not going to spend more than 10 minutes in the bathroom total getting ready. With this, I don't really have to. A few passes on the Ion setting, crank the heat up to 410, few more passes, and it makes my hair behave. The plastic covers around the brush "teeth" are legit so I dont even have to section my hair and do it piece by piece like I imagine I would with a more traditional straightener. Overall, a big fan, even if I don't end up using it long term (after I change haircuts).

Long Hair / Growing Hair
I must say this straightener does straighten your hair very fast; however with having short hair it is somewhat hard to use. My hair is about bob length and it didn't quite get to the roots that well and my ends had a were flip to it. I had to get a normal straightener to really touch it up and put it into my normal hairstyle. Overall it's a great product but I would suggest buying only if you either have long hair or are growing your hair to a long length.

Maybe not if you already have somewhat straight hair
I returned because I have thin and somewhat straight hair. I bought this thinking it would give me similar results to a straightener. HOWEVER, my hair was already kinda straight and after running this brush through my hair a few my hair looked the same. Its my fault - what did i expect?I wish I didnt have to rate it because Its kinda unfair since I tried this product and it wasnt really marketed towards me.

Not for me
This product did not work for my hair at all. I have really thick curly hair. I gave it two chances, both times came straight outta the shower, let it air dry completely - used this "brush" on my curly hair - it straightened it but it was so poofy. I went about my day and at the end of the day I looked in the mirror and it just looked terrible so straightened it with my other flat iron and was just much happier with the end result. Left my hair looking dry, frizzy, poofy and still had curls going on. I spent an hour with this thing and it was just not very intuitive but I straightened very slowly. Do not recommend. I sent this back for a full refund and had no issues with customer service. Thank you!

I did not feel like it was good at straightening my youngest's curly hair
This product was difficult for us to use. I purchased so my oldest can straighten her hair. It was very heavy and awkward. I did not feel like it was good at straightening my youngest's curly hair. My Instyler worked more quickly but unfortunately broke. We were hoping this would take it's place.

Thick hair needed
This does heat up like it is suppose, and did flatten some of my hair. I just wish that it would have said, longer thick hair needed. I have thick hair just above the shoulder, and i just couldn't get it to work well for me.

Not Good For Long Thick Hair
Not Good For Long Thick Hair! So bummed, I waited 9 days too long to return this hair straightener. I have very long medium to thick hair so it doesn't work well at all. The last day to return it was July 26, 2016. Hoping this review will motivate the seller to allow me to return it anyway. I am planning on purchasing their other hot brush with different bristles, hopefully, that one will work better on my long hair. I'll update with their response, if any.
