nice weather station
very easy setup and nice bright display. We set this unit up in our camper mostly for in and out temps and wind speed for awning safety. Th only thing we don't care for is the wind direction and speed display. you only have two options. Letters as in NNE or compas degrees as the number 210. Would prefer just an arrow pointing in the direction and the speed displayed in the center like the Acu-rite brand. Otherwise the unit is a good buy and works as described.

Good Weather Station Except
This is a nice weather station but the biggest problem with it is you have to view from straight on or you cannot read so you have to get up close.

Sensitive & accurate - Few things are to be improved
I have used this weather station for several weeks now before publishing this review. My first goal was to get accurate wind measurements with a frequency improved compared tomy old WMR80 weather station (10 years old but still works). I was able to compare the two stations for wind, the two wind sensors being apart by 5 centimeters only.Overall, I'm rather happy with this equipment, despite few things could be improved.Pros:* Anemometer is quite sensitive to very light winds.* Wind measurement are accurate at least up to 50 km/h (no strong storm so far, I will complete my review when we get one): Gusts measurements of WMR and Lacrosse agrees usually within 10% which is really good.* The weather sensors are correctly built in one small unit and exposed to external elements (wind) without obstruction, especially the wind anemometer. Contrary to many other stations with anemometers and rain gauges on almost the same level, this anemometer will still provide useful measurements when the wind blows from any directions. On stations with rain gauges all-in-one piece, the wind data are perturbed when the wind blows more or less from the rain gauge. This is not the case here and this is a serious advantage when you want accurate measurements.* Data from the sensor (temperature, hygrometry and wind) are correctly sent and displayed on the station (I had no spurious disconnections or missing data).* Tunable messages (such as sunrise and sunset time, same for the moon, etc...)* WiFi works fine (but see below)* I really like the articulated arm to properly install the anemometer on its mast (while it was made to level the anemometer parallel to the ground, I used it in the “opposite” direction to orient correctly the small solar panel exactly to the South, which is needed also to get the right wind direction).Cons:* The outside temperature displayed on the screen station is rounded toward the nearest integer: what a “shame” :-) A pro station needs to display the tenth of degrees not just the rounded temperature, this is not accurate despite the sensor is, too bad! Of course, you can get the tenth of degrees but only when you use the app. So you need your smartphone.* The app does not display the atmospheric pressure curve (as a function of time) ! Why is that ? This parameter is measured by the station, it should appear and we should be able to download the atmospheric pressure data from the app too !* The curves plotted on the app (temperature, hygro and wind) could be improved (for instance curves could be plotted with an adaptative ordinate axis between the min and the max measured values. It would be great to be able to zoom on the curve with two fingers and to slide it backward and forward in time with one finger and on much more than just on day (I have a Govee temp/hydro Wifi that is able to do that rapidly, very efficiently and clearly).* App display is sometimes a bit slow, but overall it is OK.* It would be great to have an option to correct for potential biases (temperature, hygro, wind) if ever measurements are biased low or high (for instance, on a Bresser Wifi I had for a test, when you connect your laptop to the weather station directly on its IP address, you can set the Wifi passwd as here but you have also access to options such as corrections for biases, display parameters, etc...).* I was able to connect the weather station to the WiFi but after some fight :-), the main problem is that, during the default process, the station cuts the WiFi before the process is completely done (A progress bar appears telling you that xx% of the data are being transferred; usually the process is stuck at 30% after the WiFi is lost, 30% when you are fast, it can be only 10% :-(). I was finally able to connect the Wifi using the IP address (see help on the app). The WPS method did not work (it should theoretically be the simplest of the three methods).* Tunable messages are limited to three different messages.* I can't tell whether the temperature shield works fine. It is a bit small, maybe too small to protect the temperature sensor correctly from the sun. I had some doubts during a few mild days, this will need to be confirmed next summer during hot days.* On the app, we don't know how the mean wind value is calculated: it is the real mean of all measured wind data (every 3 seconds I believe), or it it the mean of the gusts which are tranmitted to the weather station only every 30 seconds? I was unable to find any explanation anywhere (app help or Lacrosse website).* If you turn your home WiFi off for a given period (at night for instance), you will loose the data of that period . Obviously, data are not first stored in the sensor and then transmitted to the station. Thus, if your WiFI is down for any reason, you won't be able to get the time evolution of the measured parameters (Temp., hygro., and wind). That is something that should be fixed in future upgrades of the sensor.Update about wind data quality:For winds up to 60 km/h, my old WMR and my new Lacrosse anemometer are remarkably consistent (records within 5%). Above 60 km/s, the Lacrosse anemometer regularly underestimates the WMR by 10 to 20%. We had a moderate storms with winds around 120-130 km/h on the nearby coastline as measured by "official" weather stations. The highest gust recorded with my WMR station was 110 km/h while the Lacrosse was 89 km/h, gust recorded at the same time, the two anemometer cups being apart by 5 centimeter only). The inconsistency between the two anemometer seems to increase with wind speed above 60 km/h, Lacrosse being biased low.

Nightmare level unreliability
When this works, it seems to work well and give nice accurate readings. Now, if it just worked often, I'd give it 5 stars. However, I've only had it 10 months and it fails all the time. I've had countless issues where it would suddenly stop connecting to wifi. Nothing else on my property is affected (computers, phones, e-reader, tablets, gaming consoles). It's just this weather station decides it cannot connect to wifi. Sometimes power cycling this device and my wifi router resolves the issue. Sometimes I need to go into the app and re-config the wifi there. Why, I have no idea. Now, sometimes, even when wifi is working, the app doesn't work. It'll just show a loading symbol forever. Sometimes doing a "force-stop" on the app fixes it, but not always. Sometimes I just have to wait a day and it'll work again. Also, sometimes the indoor monitor doesn't connect to the outdoor sensor. This seems to randomly come and go, but lately it hasn't updated in two weeks. I replaced the battery in the outdoor unit once (which is special and expensive!!!), which fixed the issue for a few months. Now it seems it may have gone bad again. Or who knows what. In any case, it's not working. As or right now, the system isn't updating to the outdoor unit, and it's not updating to wifi either, and it's been going on three weeks. I'm beyond frustrated.I think if I add up all the time I've tried to get this thing going by setup, resetting, power cycling, changing batters, etc, I've probably wasted in excess of 10 hours. Each time it'll work for a few weeks or a month, then it's right back to the issues again.

Nice unit.
I wish I could find the YouTube video for you to do the wifi setup because the wifi was hard to setup without it. Other than that,I really like the display and accuracy. The mounting bracket are small and might need to get it higher than it is with the mounting bracket.
