lika a fellow buyer commented, the pencil doesn't stay put in the holder? I need to make a precise template and have spent more time trying to make the tracing pencil stay put in the holder. I wish I read the review before I bought this. It doesn't hold. buy something better

Beautiful Tool - Needs Consistent Curve
This is one of the finest made, beautiful tools I have. I love the way it looks. It works well, but ONLY with a relatively consistent curve deflection. If the contour is attempted for a french curve shape, that has a narrowing radius, the spread of the guide rollers is too wide to keep the pencil the same distance from the edge. So I had to resort to another means in those areas of the curve. Otherwise, absolutely beautiful tool--like, a work of art! But, I mean, what's a tool for?

Missing part
Tool is well made, but “extra sharp scribe for marking wood” in the description was missing from the box.

Don’t WASTE your money!!!!
This device sucks. Would not fit together, doesn’t allow a pencil to fit and threads are terrible.
