Windware: Wind Speed Data Logging Kit by Inspeed

i like the quality of the annenometer, but i cannot seem to get the software from them, when i changed desktops ??

great - works as advertised. Even on Windows XP.ADDED 8/31/2017: The bearings in the sensor wore out after about 3 years of ordinary use.

Works great. I stood up one of these to see if I could justify a small wind turbine to augment solar panels. While I dont see the wind speed I was hoping for, the unit works fine.

I have had 2 of these in the past and was generally pleased with the product. the problem, and to be fair this is pointed out, is that this is not useful for extended periods of time, the thing will self distruct in under a year and while the softwear is quite good it could do with supplying the windspeed in the form of a full view screen or even as a screen saver. If you want to periodically log wind speed or just observe for short periods of time then this works well, but not as a permanent anemometer unless you want to pay 15- 20 bucks a month over the lifespan of this thing.
