Hermell Convoluted Wheelchair Cushion, Egg Crate Foam, Removable Navy Blue Cover - 3 Inches Thick

This cushion saved me a lot of pain on a recent long distance car trip. Before I used this, I could only go 3-4 hours before I'd get a nerve "hot spot" on my tush (bony). I drove multiple vehicles and it was a problem on all of them. Would have to stop and walk around and stretch for 10-15 minutes and hope the pain reduction would last at least another 3 hours. With this cushion I didn't have a single bout with the "hot spots". Not one. If I felt a sensitive spot beginning, I simply pulled the cushion a little to one side or the other which created different contact spots. Problem solved. Hopefully you have seats that can be lowered because it does sit you up a little higher but not as high as the memory foam cushions I tried. And the cushion cover makes it easy to slide across.

I should have read more..inwas looking for something thicker..this is so softs it will flatten if you are heavy person.. I needed firm this is not at all

the cover on the cushion is so thin, it also had the zipper right on the one edge where you could scrape your legs if you wanted to turn the cushion side to side to distribute wear. I had to take a cover off of our old cushion and put it on top of this one. That cover has the zipper under a fold on the bottom of the cover. Problem with the zipper location is that my husband has very sensitive skin, that zipper would have just ripped his legs open.

I ordered my oldest sister and wheelchair to use when we go shopping. She gets really tired with the walker.This cushion is for more comfort while in the wheelchair. Haven't tried it as yet but it looks ok. We will find out later

Very nice and helpful cushion to add to an existing seat cushion to provide comfort and relief to someone who is confined to sitting a long or inordinate number of hours daily. Its “egg-crate” surface helps to distribute the weight much more comfortably than ordinary pillows!

I purchased this for my father-in-law after his doctor recommended he use an egg crate cushion in his chair. He is using it in the recliner he sits in every night and is very happy with the amount of cushioning. The cover keeps the pillow clean and protects the foam. He is a big guy, and this is working very well for him.

My husband complained about the cushion in his wheelchair so I got him this. When I put it in the seat of the wheelchair he said it wasn't comfortable. I put it behind his back and he loves it.

This 3" cushion compresses quite a bit as it just everyday foam (not even memory foam) . This is not a medical grade product as it doesn't even come close to the compression, conformity, rebound and comfort level of the real thing ( that's why they cost a fortune but are worth it if you need it)
