Single Entrance Intercom System, 6 Wire

My apt has an Auth Intercom system, very old and awful looking. Auth has in their web page a site to assist customers regarding replacement intercoms new models. Pacific Electronic carries the replacements and work perfect. The replacement intercom worked fine and the delivery time frame was less than 24 hrs.

photo shows what i replaced; so much nicer to just snip and twist the wire into the screw mount vs this soldering method. note the AUTH intercom was most likely from the mid-1970s; amazing technology lasts over 40 years before it fails. We'll see how long this one lasts, but the fact it is easily replaceable and idiot proof to install (so long as u don't snip all the wires off at once) means 5 stares in my book.The 3406 model's holes match exactly per the AUTH one in the pic; even comes with a plastic plug for the 3rd hole not used. no photos of the finished product, i was just glad i was done.

Grat Item for retrofit. Easy installation with a manual that explains everything. Fit perfectly to an original box with the plate provided. Great buy, and highly recommend to enyone.

It's way bigger than I was expecting. Works great and the dimensions listed are accurate, but for some reason when it showed up I was taken aback by how large it is. Not fair to knock it when it's my own fault for not paying close enough attention, but I will be looking for something a bit smaller in the near future.

Just right for older systems!
