Florida is pretty humid and ideally you put the phone in the ...
I use these in my Joto waterproof bag/case. I have samsung galaxys (5 and now 8) and they are supposedly waterproof, but mine gets dropped a lot and I don't trust the integrity of the shell, PLUS we use the Joto case for underwater photography and IMO that's just pushing it. PLUS I use the Joto at the beach, and in Sarasota we have superfine sugar sand that gets into everything and destroys electronics, waterproof or not. If I keep the phone in the bag at the beach I can still use it without worrying about sand in all the jacks. But this is not a review for the Joto... I should leave a review for the Joto... anyway, Florida is pretty humid and ideally you put the phone in the bag at home in the a/c where its dry, but I forget - A LOT. So I pop the phone in the bag in the car, and the air is so humid it quickly fogs up in the heat on the beach. So what do I do? Open the Joto to clear the fog and sand immediately gets into my phone. And it never gets completely dry anyway, so you're constantly opening the bag or squishing water around inside. Enter: these. I cooked them dry per the instructions and I keep them in a lunch baggie, stored in the Joto bag, and all this in my car. Now I am prepared for an impromptu beach trip. I am assuming they work since I haven't hard serious fog issues since, and I often find they get soft inside the bag, presumably from absorbing the moisture in the air. After they get soft you have to bake them again. But the pack includes so many that I can keep the soggy ones separately and use 3-4 fresh ones each time, and then when they all get soggy I bake them all at once and they are fresh again, ready to go.

Great Product that Worked Fine with No Complaints
Nothing to complain about here.I used these inside a go-pro housing on a ski trip to Breckenridge, Colorado. I must state that this was the first time that I have used my go-pro while skiing so I am not positive that it would have fogged up without them, however, it definitely did not fog up with them and it was apparent that they had absorbed some moisture and they softened with use.Pros:* Small - able to place 2 inside a go-pro hero 4 silver housing.* Absorb moisture - when you first open them they are hard and brittle feeling. After absorbing moisture, they become soft.* My go-pro didn't fog - can't say that it would have without them for sure but I have heard of this happening while skiing.* Comes with 20 but they are sealed in packs of 5 - allows you to only open and expose 5 to the moisture in the air at once.* Evidently can be baked and reused - did not try this as I would likely just pay the $6 for more off Amazon PrimeCons:* Would maybe prefer them each to be individually wrapped but this is not a big deal.* If placed inside a zip-lock bag when dry they will still absorb moisture somehow and be rendered useless. The attached image shows everything that comes with this product, including the packaging.Overall, the product worked great for my needs and the cons are minimal at best. 5 stars!

Packaging needs improvement
Would have been 5 stars if instead of 4 packs of 5 inserts it was packaged into 10 packs of 2 inserts each. They can be "recharged" in the oven, but the issue is that once you open one of the packs and use two inserts for the dive, the other 3 are sitting in the open pack and collect moisture from the air, which makes them less effective/unusable for the next time you need these, unless you recharge them even before they used in the camera case.

Great product for an avid GoPro user
Big fan of these products. I used my GoPro a lot this winter with the Fetch mount on my dogs while playing in the snow. There were a few times where I forgot to put one of the inserts in the water proof housing and I noticed condensation had built up inside with the temperature change. Once I put them in, that stopped being an issue. One word of warning though, I'd invest in a small waterproof case, such as a pill holder or waterproof match case to keep them in. I purchased two Ultimate Survival aluminum cases that came as a two pack and labeled each as "Fresh" and "Used" and just swap them out as needed, then re-bake and start all over. If you just throw them in your GoPro carry bag or even a ziplock bag, I've found that moisture still finds a way to get inside. You can tell when they've absorbed condensation because they become very pliable, almost like a damp piece of construction paper. When they are fresh and ready to be used, they are tense and almost brittle, like a thin cracker.

Works great!
I tested these on a family vacation to Florida. I tested my setup in a very warm pool (bathtub temperature) and two inserts were not enough to absorb all of the condensation inside the Supersuit. That did not affect the pictures or video at all; the inserts were soaked after 30 minutes. I used one on an open water dive the next day (deepest was 68 feet) and one insert was plenty; it worked perfectly. To install the insert without issue, I placed the gopro about half way into the Supersuit, then slid an insert undert the gopro, and carefully pushed the gopro in fully. If I hurried, I jammed the insert partly along the front of the Supersuit, jamming the gopro. That's no fault of the insert ... just a technique that worked for me. Thanks for a good product!

Work great for scuba diving
I dive a fair bit with my gopro's and I have never had fogging while using a single insert per housing. It is worth noting that I bake them before each trip, even when they are new. I bake them at 250 for 10 minutes rather than the 300 @ 5 they print on the packaging. I then put them in a water tight container to keep them ready. They absorb water, so prep them before you need them, they will absorb any moisture around them. You know when they are dry because they become brittle like a pringle chip. As soon as they have absorbed some water you can bend them with your fingers.I purchased my second set in two years not because the first ones stopped working, but only because I dropped or lost a few along the way.

DRY AS A BONE
Packed in a sealed package, with 4 separate segments. 5 of these pads in each. You can keep reusing them. When they are saturated, dry them in an oven at 300F or 150C for only 5 minutes.Job Done. They work in GoPros and Action cameras. One up either side, or one on the side nearest the lens covering the memory card and microphone on mine, but this is not a problem to me, as I record all audio on my Zoom H2N.As long as I get 2 inside that waterproof case, then I know from past experience, I get no condensation in there and no misting on my lenses.Go get some.

Recommended
Just returned from holiday where I used the inserts for the first time whilst snorkelling in the sea. I put them inside the waterproof housing of my Sony action cam - just in case there was any leakage or fogging. Very pleased to say neither occurred. Would happily buy this product again and only knocked one star off because you cannot reseal the packaging & I did not need to use more than 2.

Utilisé pour éviter la buée dans un boîtier étanche de gopro, après deux semaines à filmer les fonds marins, aucune buée ! Fait parfaitement ce qu’on lui demande

Works fine.
Tried these straight out of the packet, worked fine. For more extreme conditions I'd use in the recommended way. Packed in 5's which is a little bit of a hassle but cutting the packet carefully means it's easy to reseal with sticky tape. One thing I did notice when these are left out in the air they become very damp so it proves they have great hydrophilic properties. There were some loose fibres when used in the camera housing, which were easily cleaned away with a cloth/brush but worth checking when closing the housing before shooting.
