Not bad, too fast paced. Too many naughty words.
What made It (The mini series) so iconic?Besides Tim Curry playing IT, it was the emotional depth. For me it just played so well, great emotion, great acting, amazing pacing. This film just seems so rushed!I don’t want to delve into spoilers because there are slight differences. The adult actors are ok.James McAvoy is alright.Bill Hader was good (besides the constant use of the word ‘dude’)The resemblance of the child actors to the adult actors was a really nice touch, you could almost believe they had grown up which is something the Mini-series failed to do, so that’s a big pro. That’s the best I could do.IT in clown form is pretty good. I’ll always be biased for Tim Curry, but he is good.A few cons. The swearing, blimey! I’m not prude to swearing, but I was blown away by the naughty words! The pacing, it just seems to go so fast.I don’t feel like the characters developed much. The amount of times ‘Dude’ is said! Just go on my nerves.Well, the pros...Penny wise is good. I mean I really good. I like the cute side, I love the evil side and the gore. The CGI and special effects are really well done....That’s about it.Chapter One was really good. This is just a bit of a fast paced mess for me.Good effects, good Pennywise, but just not as good as The mini series.Worth a watch, but that’s it.I doubt I’ll revisit this film often.

IT CHAPTER TWO DVD
I really should have gone with my gut feeling! Chapter One wasn't great, but the kids were good. The reviews for "TWO" were very mixed, mostly negative, and that's my view too. The DVD iteself is fine, widescreen (bars top and bottom), with good sound and subtitles. I don't go for extras myself, which is just as well as here there is only a "featurette". My problems with the film started at the beginning, with what I felt was and OTT brutal beating up and killing of a gay man and his friend, followed by a scene of domwstic abuse and violence, both of which I felt were out of place. Then there was the casting (and the script). I found none of the characters remotely likeable, even Chastain who was the best of the bunch. There just seemed to be zero chemistry between them let alone the actors. Also how could the director manage to draw out the climax to the extent I was willing it to be over. Positives.? I seem to be in a minority when I thought the CGI "monsters were very good, and there were two very scary scenes. Chastain looks good and is the best of the bunch. Not a complete disaster. Just a big disapointment for me. To end with the oracle in our house....My wife turned to me at the end..."Not very good was it/ It went on a lot" Nuff said.

IT'S BACK !!
When people begin to disappear again some 27years-on in Derry, Mike (Isaiah Mustafa) he calls the members of The Losers to fulfil the promise they made each other after their encounter with the evil-clown Pennywise(Bill Skarsgård) back in 89' to come back together to try and kill him.Beverly( (Jessica Chastain) Bill (James McAvoy) Ritchie (Bil Hader) Ben (Jay Ryan) andEddie (James Ransone) respond to the call, Stanley (Andy Bean) can no longer do so.When they all become aware of Mike's intent to reface Pennywise not all will be up for the challenge. Each with reflections of what happened 27 years ago will realise that together they are strong, no one person could face down Pennywise. With tensions rising Bill decides to go back to the house they'd encountered the clown all those years ago, the others will not let him go in alone surely? Can the powerful and sinister Pennywise be stopped, will all six survive another encounter?Much of the film is each of their journey's of the past bringing them to eventually to the inevitable showdown. With scary and often gory imagery throughout, the film though pretty lengthy is indeed a quality chiller worthy of a viewing.....far and away better than part one in my opinion.

Drama/horror/zzzz
God this film felt long . A group of friends who are now grown up re unite to kill an childhood monster inthe form of a clown ,its more a drama/horror were you are told about there issues etcl found each of them unlikeable , the clown over acted (hammy) ,theres a message the only fear is fear itself (this,ll scare if you hate being bored stiff) ,not worth £10 wait till price goes down 1st.

Very pleased!
Brilliant. A great second part to IT 2017, still isn’t as detailed as the book, but it’s nice to have a few differing versions of the story now with the miniseries, chapter 1+2 and the book. Presentation is beautiful with this particular item, and some very much appreciated behind the scenes extras and a wonderful commentary of the whole film by Andy Muschietti. 10/10 recommend this!
