Yok Media Remote with Keyboard for Xbox One

This is a good xbox remote for the price. The response isn't laggy, and the keyboard works with almost every app. (It won't work with hulu) It is a bit awkward trying to type with it at first, but it's easy to get use to.

The remote worked correctly when first used. But after about 5 mins, some buttons did not work properly.

I bought a used one as I did not want to pay full price ($25?), but needed a new remote as the OEM one the right arrow button wore out and I wanted something with a keyboard (and was hoping to get away from needing line of sight).When I received the used remote, the keyboard did not work so I contacted customer service and they sent me a new remote which worked. Bonus star for this.Remote side is IR (infrared) and requires line of sight with sensor on front of xbox.Keyboard side (slip side) is probably bluetooth via included USB dongle so doesn't need line of sight.Pros: Light up keyboard on back of remote.Cons:- Keyboard on back requires an included USB dongle which works only if you reboot the xbox. Once you shutdown the xbox, the keyboard stops works until you rebooted it again (a shutdown is not really a shutdown on the xbox due to the "fast boot" feature which actually hibernates the xbox to speed up start up and shutdown.- Remote side needs direct line of sight with xbox sensor on front (it is weaker than the OEM remote which is slightly more forgiving).Should have been more of a 3 start, but the features and good customer service made me bump it up to a 4 star.

Works exactly as described, USB keyboard is a nice addition. All the buttons seem to control my Xbox One S as they should. The volume buttons even control my TV with no additional setup on my end. Overall, I'm satisfied with the remote at the price I paid for it .

The volume controls are horrible. I returned the first I received because the volume didn't work. The seller sent another but, this one barely works better. You can't just press volume up or down and hold it like you would every other remote you've ever owned. You have to press the volume up or down button to change by 1 unit. So, if my volume is set to 20, I have to press volume up 10 times to raise it to 30. and you have to do it at the right interval. If I spam the vol buttons to change quickly, it just doesn't register the key presses and nothing happens. A serious test in patience. I will probably throw it out tonight.

This remote is amazing, I recently got Disney+ for my wife and for awhile she had to use my controller. As you all know if the controller isn't used after a certain amount of time it shuts off. This remote made everything easier, I put the USB receiver in the port and she was off running. I highly recommend this remote.

So I'm looking for a solution for an Xbox remote, where I DO NOT have to have my media cabinet door WIDE OPEN to use. This doesn't do the trick unfortunately. I even tried a USB extender,and with that, it's still acting wonky/unresponsive! So back it goes until I find a remote that can be used with my media cabinet doors SHUT. Other cheapo USB dongle/keyboards etc work fine with my other stuff(with door shut). Maybe Xbox is just a POS when it comes to this issue??

Good basic XBox keyboard remote, serves its purpose, very convenient.
