Nice pen, but didn't receive the box that was listed
The price for the stainless steel version of this pen was good, and the quality of the product was as expected from Kaweco. However, the description said "Including Retro Metal Box," but the package included only a small cardboard box. I have another Kaweco Liliput pen, and it did come with the snap lid metal box, so I do know what it is supposed to look like. I like the pen, so I am not going to return it, but don't like not getting what I paid for.Be aware that you may not get what you expect.

Early Christmas to me!
This little pen is a gem, what did I do without it? I love the sleek design, and small enough to fit in my purse for urban sketching on the run.I love it!

Beautiful little copper fountain buddy
This pen is excellent! I got mine in copper, and have no regrets, as the natural patina has developed very nicely. It’s very easy to take anywhere due to its slim size, and being made of metal, is more durable than any of my other pens.My nib size is extra fine, and unlike some brands (TWSBI…) extra fine really means extra fine! The line is somewhere around 0.5mm, obviously depending on writing pressure, the type of paper you’re writing on, and the ink you’re using. For this reason alone, it’s one of my favorites since small writing is very easy. The nib is pretty firm, and not very springy so don’t expect anything crazy in a signature. Some minor gripes: it takes 4 full rotations to unscrew the cap, which doesn’t sound like a lot but most of my other pens have somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.5 to 2 so it’s a little annoying. Also, this pen does not fit the Kaweco refillable piston, so if you want your own ink inside the pen, you’ll have to use a syringe and transfer it into an empty spent cartridge.Lastly, on about 4 occasions in the last 6 months I’ve had the pen, the cartridge has become detached internally. When you go to investigate why the pen has suddenly stopped writing, you’re greeted with a handful of ink which is unpleasant to say the least. I’ve noticed that this happens most often when I’m reusing cartridges for my own preferred ink, and especially if I’ve recently dropped the pen. This is my biggest grievance with the pen, but still not enough of a hassle to stop me from using it daily :)I haven’t used shimmering ink in this yet, and wouldn’t recommend it on the extra fine nib because the low ink flow is a recipe for clogs.Lastly, I highly recommend purchasing Kaweco’s add on clip for this guy to keep it in your pocket better (no, I don’t know why it isn’t included - it should be!)Thank you for coming to my pen talk. If 4.5 stars was an option, I’d give it that.

Mighty Mouse of a Pen
I own a Kaweco Sport fountain and ballpoint pen. I wanted something a little smaller for my EDC kit. This pen is shorter and thinner than the Sport. It is metal so durability should be good. It takes cartridges that are available in an array of colors. You have to get used to the small size so its best for taking notes. I keep it in my kit along with a Rite in the Rain Poco ballpoint, Rotring multipen and a small notebook. The price I paid was reasonable for the quality of the pen. It is the lightest pen I own, is comfortable when posted and feels more substantial than the Kaweco Sport.

You will enjoy owning and writing with this little pen
Everything about it I like. The Lilliputian look and feel when in use. The copper color I chose is quite unique as well as pretty with compliments. I write all my letters with this pen. The joy that comes from holding it, while thinking of friends or family as I write. It is tiny but mighty, no other pen brings this joy.Highly recommend owning at least one of the Liliput. Shirlj

Nearly weightless mini fountain pen
If you like a fountain pen you'll know the problem of wanting to use one out and about and how that doesn't always match wanting to travel light. You can buy mini or expanding propelling pencils or ballpoints but rarely an ink pen. This is a proper fountain pen (small international cartridge only - no converter available to fit this one) with good nibs which you can change out with different grades , including several sizes of calligraphy nib. Not all the nibs are currently available on Amazon but a quick web search and you'll source them. I like thewritingdesk.co.uk but there are others selling them. This version of the pen is almost weightless and tiny so great for travelling light but with the cap posted ( it screws on to the barrel so is very secure) it's a sensible length to write with. I like a narrow barrelled pen so this is ideal for me. If you prefer a chunkier pen it might be a bit of an adjustment but possibly worth it for the convenience. Other versions like the brass and stainless steel are the same size but heavier. I think this makes them handle better for calligraphy or longer writing jobs but this one is ideal for keeping with a diary or cheque book. I keep it with my jotter pad in my bag so I always have a fountain pen to hand but don't add to the weight of what I'm carrying.

Great but possibly too small
This is a great small pen. I bought a Fine nibbed version. Mine is a little too dry in terms of ink flow but I may adjust the nib in the near future. The nib is a nail and produces exceptionally fine writing. I don't think I have anything finer in my collection. It comes in the nicely designed and decorated Kaweco tin!The pen is very well designed and although it's tiny it does feel solidly built. However it is VERY small and very thin. This means that it's not going to be comfortable for extended use. The cap screws onto the end of the body for posting, and you have to do this otherwise it would be too small to use. I am also slightly nervous, given the compact nature of the pen, that it might easily be lost or over-looked, so take care of it.So for the above reasons, I've knocked one star off. Also it's quite expensive and so if you would like a small but more practical pen, I would recommend going for the cheaper Kaweco Sport Classic Fountain pen. It's five start item!

An incredible design, a great pen
I've held off writing this review until I've gotten used to the pen. I bought it as a compromise as I couldn't quite justify buying the more expensive steel or brass pens. The quality is excellent, the nib is lovely. It is a shade light with it's aluminium body but very well engineered and strong. It nestles well in the pocket and has never leaked despite being dropped a few times. It is very slowly accruing scratches to the cap and body through being carried in a pocket with keys and loose change but they seem to just add character and make it feel more unique. All in all, I've come to really love this pen and I've taken to carrying it everywhere. The only thing that might make me put it down is that I still catch myself looking at the copper and brass ones now and again...

Quality pen, new to this brand and will buy again
Love this pen - ordered the fine nib for detailed small lettering and it is perfect. Size small makes it very portable but feels well balanced in my hand and love the fact that the top actually screws on whether in use or not - no worry re misplacing when in use. New ink cartridge worked immediately - dont always get that immediate flow. Came with one blue cartridge. Will be ordering the brass version with medium nib soon.

And I like also "Rugged" sensation you have when you touch it ...
I bought this fountain pen because I wanted a little vintage but classic to bring with me all over the world.I choosed copper one because I know that it will be ever different ( in colour and presence) depending by environmental conditions and by using it.So every time I need it to write , I'm surprised by what colour It has. And I like also "Rugged" sensation you have when you touch it or when you sniff it near..Kaweco surprised me. It's a very gorgeus little thing and I'll never leave it at home.Nice sliding nib for my hen calligraphy. And nice ink too.what else?Nice paper, of course !!
