This is a specialised filter to remove the orange glow from sodium street lighting during night-sky photography.It looks to be a quality product although, when I first saw it, I was surprised to see how lightly coloured the filter material seemed to be.I have a small spectroscope and this showed that it is, in fact, a vary narrow band filter, which cuts out wavelengths around the orange sodium 'D-lines' but leaves the rest of the spectrum largely intact.It works very well for me but is unlikely to be effective against newer types of broad-spectrum LED street lighting, so don't expect it to be a total 'cure-all'. I've taken off one star because of this limitation but it is very effective at what it does.

Really helped cut background pollution when we had the Aurora down south recently.

I was very sceptical at first, but taking these images shows that it helps make city took better at night. Well worth the money.

Does a decent job, slightly darkens the image

I agree with many previous reviewers that the filter does not do what it claims to do. Actually I discovered that by changing the setting of white balance to tungsten one can achieve as good a result. Does not appear it is worth the cost.
