Funnel to Load Replacement Resin Into a 'Mobile-Soft-Water' 10 X 2.5 Funnel (Spare Part) Used with a Water Softener or Ion-Exchanger

This size and shape funnel was exactly what I needed for a home canning project. It worked great for me.

I can't imagine dumping in softener beads without this. It was a great help.

I use this to fill my mylar bags when freeze drying food. Works great as long as you have the pleated stand up bags. The funnel is wide making easy to dump the trays without spilling. Its a win!

It is large enough so that I can dump from my Freeze Dryer trays into jars or Mylar bags with eaze.

The funnel did exactly what I hoped... allowed me to pour a gravel bed and then the media in for our softener refresh. The funnel worked well... bit pricey for plastic, but then again, it did make this task easier then doing without.

Alas, when I ordered your product, from Amazon I received a round one in error. Oh my! I'm disappointed because I researched extensively and carefully selected yours from the widely available round ones, and I wanted to try it as it appears it would do an easier/faster loading job. So,it appears Amazon got confused also, and picked the wrong one out of their stock. You might consider a different color so your product is not confused with the typical blue ones.Still I rate the correct product 5***** because I believe it I the best one I could find.The rest of my comments relate to the erroneous description.The Amazon description of your Resin Loading Funnel is quite inaccurate. This detailed Chemical Engineer thought you would like to know that, because that confusion may cause loss of sales. I mean, if the description is incorrect, what does that say about the product's manufacturing quality??The description first calls the material Styrene and then Polyethylene, two very different materials with different properties and chemistry.Further, since Styrene is a liquid at atmospheric conditions the designation technically polystyrene, but that is a different story. :) By the way, which is it?Oh, remembering back to my children's toys, polystyrene is a harder/stronger material in the sme thickness.The funnel does not "snap in" my Sears Resin Tank, a standard one used in the industry. If it did, that would prevent jiggling the funnel up and down to get the resin to slide in: unless the oval design eliminates the need to giggle it?? I imagine a snap in design allows for one person to pour the resin,but I'm not sure of that.There are no "handles", just the different style oval rim. Anyway, Are handles needed for resin loading?The "Neck of the funnel has been carefully designed"?? Not to be picky, but It's just a wide mouth funnel, not much careful design needed there!I would say this probably refers to the rim which is oval and in my opinion better than the typical round ones.Also the description header on Amazon says "'Mobile-Soft-Water' " I don't know what that means. Nearly a year ago, I bought a freeze dryer, and have been packing food away into mylar bags and canning jars for the "zombie apocalypse." This wide funnel works perfectly to contain the food from the freeze dryer trays as I pour into mylar bags. The lower opening doesn't quite fit into the regular mouth canning jars, but with the assistance of a regular canning funnel, which this big blue funnel fits nicely into, I can achieve my goal. Not entirely perfect, but it's great!

I got this to help load tray fulls of food into a mason jar. While that does work, the mouth that fits down into the jar is too large for a standard size jar and only fits a wide mouth. So I have to use the smaller canning funnel to put this larger one in. It works for me, but for the price this should be fixed. The materials are also cheap enough that it was shipped with one side misshapen.
