Old but good
I've enjoyed the Lupin stories for years and find them still entertaining on rereading. Old fashioned, little bloodshed or violence, no swearing, no sweaty sex scenes.

An Interesting Departure for the Series
The Confessions of Arsรจne Lupin is quite a departure for the series. The previous books were all book length series but this time the book is composed of short stories a single chapter long. Each story is self contained mystery for Lupin to solve. The character feels more like a detective like Sherlock Holmes or genius like Prof. Augustus S. F. X. Van Dusen. This may be my favorite Lupin collection yet. Some of the longer novels could get quite complicated with all the intrigue and it wasn't uncommon for me to get lost. I like these bite sized stories and some of them could get quite riveting for instance The Infernal Trap where Lupin is bound tightly to a bed and death seems inevitable.

A great collection of Arsene Lupin short stories!
I love the Arsene Lupin stories, and I'm slowly making my way through all of the English translations of the books. In the 6th book of the series, "The Confessions of Arsene Lupin", we get a first-hand tale of Lupin's further escapades as documented by his unknown biographer, just as in the first book, "The Exploits of Arsene Lupin." In "Confessions", Arsene talks of more of his former escapades. In these stories, Arsene plays detective, proposes marriage, dons disguises and aliases of all-kinds, solves riddles and murders, and most of all, gets away with the dough in that classic Arsene Lupin fashion! The best story here is probably the last one, "Edith Swan-Neck", as it ties into the previous Arsene Lupin books, even if just a little bit, which I always like to see. But without spoiling anything, it's just really cool to see how Arsene Lupin (And Maurice LeBlanc in that same vein) felt like such a modern thinker. But all of the stories are fantastic. I must recommend this collection to any Lupin fan!

Fantastic Lupin Tales
Only recently I rediscovered Arsene Lupin, the world's greatest thiefand crime solver.I am listing titles of tales to save duplication:Two Hundred Thousand Francs Reward!; The Wedding Ring; The Sign of the Shadow; The Infernal Trap; The Red Silk Scarf; Shadowed by Death; A Tragedy in the Forest of Morgues; Lupin's Mariage; The Invisible Prisonerand, Edith Swan-Neck (The tapestries puzzle). In Lupin's tales, youthink you definitely know the name of the criminal-you feel, no doubtyou have it when all of a sudden you turn out dead wrong. You also have mixed emotions about Arsene. He is a theif but he doesnt steal from the poor and never, ever sheds any blood and goes out of his way to helpthe downtrodden. It's a joy to watch his movements.

Good, light reading
If you are looking for a light-hearted escape from the world as your reading choice, this is a good choice. It is a series of stories that are a combination of mystery and farce, with the stereotypical police force that is almost competent. The protagonist, Arsene Lupin, is not the super competent detective but the criminal. No complicated plots, no graphic violence. A good, easy read.

Go-to book for a rainy day
Another enjoyable Maurice LeBlanc book. Arsรซne Lupin just grew on me. Real swashbuckling adventure, with the far-reaching planning worthy of a Moriarty! And I do get a kick out of the references to the Other Detective. Fun stories!

A bundle of short stories
It's important to note that this is a collection of unrelated cons, performed by the Character of Arsene Lupin, and being confessed to a confidante, Similar to Sherlock Holmes talking about old cases to Watson.
