I love CEL, but this is my second drill/driver
I have the CEL Power8 system and love it. It makes cutting and drilling effortless and once you learn how to set things up its quick and easy to use.The features of the drill/driver are excellent with a large number of speed, forward and reverse and hammer action. It also has two bits for driving which clip into the chassis of the drill/driver.My only quibble is this is my second drill/driver. The chuck broke on the first one. I wouldn't say I'm a heavy user of this, so was a little disappointed at this, hence I purchased this as a replacement. I have used it a couple of times since it arrived and on the most recent occasion is stuck in high speed. So I have a slight concern about durability of this product. As for the buying experience, what can I say, I have never had a bad experience purchasing from amazon, maybe I've just been lucky.

Three Stars
Not quite what I expected from this manufacturer.

No charger, no manual, no written guarantee, deceitful marketing
Purchasing this was not a pleasant experience. It may be a good drill, but I shan't know until after I've used it for a while; so this review is about the marketing of the products and the problems in buying one, and the one star reflects my experience.I purchased the drill head and the battery together, as two items in the same shopping basket, assuming them to be from the same source; but they were not; this, too, was unclear. One came from Amazon, the other came direct from Cel, and separate carriage charges were levied for each. And despite one of the items being supplied by Amazon itself, free "Prime" delivery was not given. Worse, I can't recall ever having bought a battery tool (and I've had dozens) without there having been a charger supplied with it. The Amazon page which advertises the battery for this product (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004RM9VYS/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1#productDetails ) nowhere states that a charger needs to be bought separately; it is therefore legitimate to assume that one will be supplied with the battery. It wasn't.This combination of drill and battery were bought as a replacement for a much-used and now ailing 12-year-old Ferm 21v, for which I cannot buy a replacement battery. (They apparently only supply replacement batteries for drills manufactured from 2006). The old drill came with a half-hour rapid charger, as has just about every other battery tool I've known. But for this Cel item, one must either buy a cheap, slow - and therefore inconvenient - charger or a very expensive rapid charger, which increases the cost of the unit by exactly 40%.In practice, therefore, if you do not have other Cel products, this is a £129 drill, rather than the £85 drill I thought it was, and if you are planning to go the Cel route, you should be aware of this when comparing it with other prospective purchases. There may well be an advantage in having a single battery-handle for different attachments, and I chose this concept in preference to buying a complete drill because it compared well with other £85-ish drills as a prospect - but at present I have no use for any of the other attachments.I have only today found that the drill is available as a complete package, including rapid charger, for £123.40, with free delivery. This did not manifest itself during my original searches. In fact, this whole Cel line is confusingly marketed, and a trap for the the unwary. No manual or written guarantee was supplied either for the drill head or the battery handle. All that said, both items sport a reassuring air of quality; and I fondly hope that in the fullness of time, the product will merit 5 stars for efficiency and reliability; but that will have to be reported on after suitable experience in use.

Great tool
I have been impressed by the concept of having most of the tools I would use in modular set. The drill that i originally purchased was just a drill and I wanted a hammer action drill. I couldnt find one anywhere else and was lucky to get this one. I'm easily pleased and am now a happy bunny.

Superbe Tool
Great tool. Works very well as a dril/driver and a hammer drill.Very good single sleeve chuck.Just a pity that other cordless drills do not have one.Complements the power 8 system well.

Hammer Drill Body
I use this all the time, but it is better used on smaller masonry holes. Trying to use it on larger holes killed two of my older non lithium ion handles.
