I chose this lock because of the software and keypad capabilities. After I bought it I found that the software did not work and I was told by support they were working on it. The truth was that the software still does not work. I also found that after using it for a month the codes would not engage the lock so the door would open. As far as I can tell the product was completely misrepresented and enough time as passed I cannot get a refund. It lasted just about 2 weeks longer than the period I could return it. My experience is that this product cannot be used for the purpose for which it is sold.

These don't work on thick gates/doors. There are no adapters to extend the length.Also the base is very wide and they won't fit in many gates with security barriers.They can be temperamentalThr Bluetooth only is a problem, it won't notify you the batteries are low and you'll need the emergency battery to get in.It's a shame they are really the only game in town.

First, read the instructions BEFORE you try to put it in. Its a little more complex than a regular door lock, but easy enough if you follow the instructions. The lock works well and feels very sturdy. There are some claims in the product details that don't work perfectly. The bluetooth feature is 'okay' at best. the handle only unlocks for 3 seconds and you need to sync to the handle from your phone often. I also do not get any logs from the lock as to who/when people opened it. The menu on your phone does not let you set up permanent codes for your family/friends. That is best done on the handle itself. Aside from that, the handle works well and is easy enough to use and set up. My 5 yr old daughter and 72 yr old mother can use it.

After several weeks of phone calls leading to online chats waiting to actually speaking with somebody reading the app developers help section I’ve been given five ways to solve the problem which none of them match the instructions save yourself the time and effort and buy a better although more expensive lock. At this point I’m ordering two new ones from a well branded company and returning one that I’ve tried to install the app Bluetooth and successfully and the one in the box hopefully Amazon will stand behind my decision or in the trash goes

I had been looking for something like this for awhile but everything I found was for a deadbolt. This is the lock you need if you have people that "forget" to lock the door. I can open the door from my phone or send a unlock code to the cleaners, handyman, or others. It's great if you AirBnB because you can give an unlock code and set it to expire at the end of the lease. I'm in love with this lock!

It is so wonderful to not have to search for my keys in the bottom of my purse anymore. The perfect lock

Looks good serves its function app is not to useful doesn’t really have a good way to send codes they are at least 11 digits long and you can’t send your own codes has to be generated

I often forget to carry the key and always shut myself out of the door. With it, I finally no longer have to carry the key.
