The data on the Amazon website states that a battery is not included AND it states that a battery is NOT required. This gives the impression that this device somehow maybe has a lifetime battery installed. After prying off the keys, I managed to get the device open and found out that there is a place for a battery but no battery. Somewhere I read that these devices use a CR2038 battery, that I had a spare, so I installed one and the device seems to work. There are NO instructions as to how to install the battery. I asked a question on the Amazon web site about a Fig 5 and was told to see Fig 5. However, there was no Fig 5 that I could find. It now seems to work but it took a couple of days to figure out what the problem was. I would definitely NOT recommend this product until better instructions are presented.

Has good range over 40ft, easy to replace battery, comes with sticky wall pads. Uses common 433 frequency that Sonoff uses.

This was so bad I returned it. It uses a watch battery which would die with minutes. Returned it and bought device that uses e27 battery. Much happier.
