Brain Quest Grade 1, revised 4th edition: 750 Questions and Answers to Challenge the Mind (Brain Quest Decks)

My son really enjoys these flash cards. We were surprised at the seemingly incredible jump in complexity between the Kindergarten flash cards and these 1st grade flash cards--there are questions on these cards that I don't even know the answers to, and lots of complex sentence structure questions. No pictures at all, and they require the child to be able to read to answer many of the questions. I can highly recommend the Kindergarten ones--but these seem more difficult than 1st grade work.

I work in healthcare and we talk about team work and dynamics and analytical knowledge all the time. we have seen extremely good doctors but who lack analytical skills and average doctors who are excellent when faced with a new problem.To spark my kids interested in analytical skills, I bought these on the recommendation of a very experienced nursePROS:- Excellent for age- Cover a diverse range of topics and knowledge- Keep the child interested- are not limited to maths / reading / alphabetical use alone- emphasize pattern recognition- are diverse enough that when your kid has these memorized, which they will, if you go over them enough, you can get creative and ask different qns from the same cards- 2 sided printing- nice solid flip design- non staining - printed on laminated paper- create experience if shared learning with the parent / kiddoCONS: very few- Case in which they come is little on the flimsy side- easy to memorize , but I should blame my kid for that !for what they are, I feel they are a must have in a parent's collection to keep your kid entertained while engaging them in a fun learning way over watching videos with them.

The cards are amazing! Very educational and entertaining. My daughter enjoyed this. From spelling, science, math and grammar, its in the deck. Cards are very well made. Definitely will invest more on these cards. I will buy just to give it as gifts. It's perfect, educational, useful and not messy. Easy to throw in your purse as a to go entertainment.Delivered on time, Perfect to keep my Daughter who is 8 years old occupied during mandated stay at home due to COVID-19.Packaged well.

Using these as a supplement for homeschool for my held back due to age Kindergartner. He loves it. There are some occasional questions that I personally think are strange or out of place, but overall they are good age and grade appropriate questions, which as a homeschool helps me backfill some things and shows me where he could use some additional teaching. He asks to do these first before any of his other schoolwork, so I would say success.

We were first introduced to Brain Quest when I daughter turned 4 and we really like the brand. We picked up the 1st grade version of these cards this year because my daughter start 1st grade. These flash cards are great fun and educational, it is a great way to turn learning into a game. These are not huge so they are easy to take with you. We take them anytime we know there could be a wait, because they keep my daughter entertained and it is much better than giving her a phone to play with. I am sure that we will continue to get the next versions of these as my daughter masters the questions.

We love most anything Brain Quest, as a homeschooling family, we find it thorough and easy to use. The only thing to take away about these flashcards is my daughter (and quite frankly me at first) found it confusing to track down which card had the answers for each flashcard. Normally it is printed on the back but that isn't the case with these. No big deal but it definitely took us a minute to get used to. If you are planning on having your child do these by themselves it will make it easier for you to know that the answers aren't in the typical place. Otherwise great teaching aid.

We do 2 cards a night before bed and my kids love it. Some questions are really easy and some are more challenging. I will be buying the next level as soon as we finish this one. The kids really look forward to this as part of our bedtime routine.

I love these and so does my soon to be first grader!! She has so much fun with these decks and the questions are perfect for her age- not too easy and not frustratingly hard either. This is the fifth set of these we have bought! (we had the previous set for this daughter, and had bought several others for our older daughter). They are a big hit in our family! And what mom doesn't love something that's educational and fun for her kids!

This was a great distraction for holidays for the kids. There are quite a few american relates questions, especially for currency, but we just used that as another wee learning opportunity, to teach about other currencies (and also helped explained fractions with the use of quarters!).

This is wonderful to keep in the car, keeps my little one entertained, we all take turns...a few questions are American related...but we always give them a go...how else to learn?!I will be buying more in the series.Great service provided by the seller.

This is a poorly written and very American product.Unless you are an American parent you won't understand the references let alone a 6-7 year old.There's a reference to milk as 'moo-juice'.....just saying
