Turfliner Full Spring Steel Insoles (SZ 9) (Women's) (1 Pair)

These inserts were recommended by my orthopedic doctor and I am glad to have them as I have flat feet with arthritis and they help my feet to feel better.

I broke my ankle & fractured my big toe at the end of June 2020 causing “hallux rigidus” in my big toe & the beginning signs of arthritis. This insert has helped me walk with less pain as it prevents the toe from bending upward. I wear a women’s 9 1/2-10, depending on the shoe, & purchased the size 9 insert - fits perfect in all of the shoes I’ve tried it in! Something important to note, though; the bottom of the insert has started to rust over the last month or so of daily use & has turned the bottom of my shoe(s) an orangey color. I’m not sure there’s a way to avoid this from happening as I think an additional insert under this one would make the shoe too tight.

My doctor instructed me to order and wear these insoles while my broken pinky toe headed. I wear a women's size 9 shoe so I ordered a women's size 9 insole. They were an inch longer than my foot and so of course were too big for all of my shoes. So, when ordering these you should probably order a size or two smaller than your shoe size. Now I am a week out from when I should have started wearing these and have to order another size and wait for them to arrive. I am ordering both a size 7 and 8 just to be sure. I can return the one that doesn't fit.

These full-length steel inserts are a gamechanger in my daily fitness routine, and I wish I’d known about this product years ago. Whether running or even fast walking, my feet would ache after a long workout no matter the footwear. Steel inserts are such a simple, effective, and comfortable solution.The full-length inserts are a tad thicker than the half inserts, and I had to remove the shoe's original insoles to fit both the insert and my foot. Based on the enclosure of your foot in the shoe, and the steel and felt pad construction – plus working out - these inserts build up a lot of heat. The steel will be hot to the touch when you remove them. And I would recommend removing them from the shoe after every use.The felt pads have taken a beating thanks to the heat and friction, but the steel has maintained its shape and stiffness after a month of steady use. If you can afford to rotate your footwear, you should do the same with your inserts. I highly recommend a pair dedicated to each of your fitness shoes. Your feet will thank you.
