No turbo, but a great controller
Mine arrived a day early (thanks Amazon!) so I was able to spend a few delightful hours on Saturday night playing some old Genesis classics, everything from Sonic to NBA Jam to Super Hang On to shooters like Steel Empire and run 'n guns like Mega Turrican and Gunstar Heroes. This is a wonderful controller. It feels great in the hand. The D-pad feels great and is super tight and responsive. The buttons feel great and have a satisfying tactile feel when pressing. The controller is cool looking, too, and I like the official Sega branding. This may be sacrilegious, but I then used this controller to play some Nintendo games like Contra and Over Horizon, and SNES titles like UN Squadron. Great experience.Negatives are a lack of Turbo. If I could buy this same controller, with Turbo, for $5-$10 more, I'd do it in a heart beat. Also, the cord, while plenty long, could be more flexible and supple. Given the bargain price, I can't dock a star for either of these minor issues. This is a great controller for the price.I've accumulated several controllers, all of which are a mix of pros and cons - Xbox 360 (D-pad is mediocre at best), Xbox Elite (nice, better D-pad but is very heavy and I have found that compatibility can be problematic and the price was exorbitant), Dualshock 4 (Great controller, very nice d-pad, but need a 3rd party app like input Mapper to get it to work with Windows), and the 8bitdo N30 pro 2 (very nice wireless controller, has Turbo, D-pad is a bit too small, L &R buttons are awkward to use). This controller may be my new go-to controller for Retro games. It has my favorite D pad out of the ones I just mentioned. And while the lack of wireless could be considered a downside, wired also can result in less latency/input lag while also increasing the "it just works" factor.Overall I'm very happy to have added this to my controller arsenal. It will be my go-to retro controller, especially for Genesis. And the shoulder buttons make it a perfect Sega Saturn controller as well. Price is very fair as this is a well-built and well-executed piece of tech. I just wish it had turbo for certain shooters but this controller is excellent. Happy gaming!

One of the top 5 best controllers
Seeing as the upcoming Sega Genesis Mini does not come with a 6 button controller I wanted to get one early in preparation, also have other emulators and Steam I wanted to use it for. Connects simply to my PC with no issues, configuring the controls within the emulators was a breeze as well.It has been ages since I've actually used a real 6 button, so it's hard to say how closely the quality compares to the original. Even so, it feels great to use and was always a favorite growing up. The D-pad is exceptionally well made, it's the most comfortable and accurate one I've used in a long time. I tried it on a wide range of genres and all perform spectacularly, of course fighters being up there. The added L and R buttons are a great new touch and don't feel out of place where they are located, cord length is great with 10 feet being more than enough. The clear blue color is an appealing design, I cannot wait to use it with the Genesis Mini soon. I can only hope the build quality will stand up for the long term. I will put it through the ringer no doubt over the next few months. It's a great addition to anyone who uses emulators, especially Mame and of course Genesis.

What hardcore SEGA fans have wanted for decades.
One week review so far for the see-through blue USB gamepad --- This is an excellent controller for emulating games on PC and Android. Your mileage may vary depending on the emulator and how it handles USB controllers, but for most systems that can handle this type of button and d-pad layout, you can't do much better. The extra L & R buttons at the top are a welcome addition, and work well for GBA, GBC, SNES configurations as needed. The build quality and the extra long cord are solidly manufactured parts. This controller FEELS just like the original 2nd gen Sega Genesis/Mega Drive controllers (not the smaller little kid ones), and the d-pad is PRECISE. Fighting games and any version of Tetris you want to throw at it across platforms works exactly as you input it. I could not comprehend any lag that would affect my input and reactions. I will update when I have more Android, PC Steam and other console games tried out. The packaging that it comes in is high quality and makes you momentarily think they had a time machine and teleported the controller to your hands. Retro-Bit needs to build in Flash USB memory or a MicroSD card slot, so we can take some games with us no matter what computer we decide to play on.Edit Update: Still a great controller for PC game emulation. As with any controller, some games or emulators may not always cooperate, but when it does… it is perfect. Master System and Genesis games are great with it, in addition to NES, Atari 2600/7800, MSX/MSX2, and SNES (the added L & R buttons help) games are too!
