Soft yarn
Very soft and well made yarn. No hidden joins in the middle of the skein. Generally baby alpaca has a fuzzier texture without as much definition- this is knitting up nicely- a little softness and still decent stitch definition. Am working on a hat with the grey color. So far only at the ribbed part...Will definitely use the rest to make another hat

Great
Awesome, ultra-soft yarn. I would make everything I crochet from this stuff if it wasn't so prohibitively expensive. Depending on the stitch used, one skein is enough for about 100 square inches of crochet.

10 stars. Will buy again
Absolutely well worth twice the price. Soft, enjoyable to work. Wonderful quality. In six balls not one knot, nicely even and securely spun yarn that had nice give in working but never thinned too much. Used in a baby blanket with size four needles. (Daughter lives in Florida so I was looking for a looser knit to lighten the blanket). Size one to three is recommended but I was pleased with quality. As with all fuzzy ( I use the term loosely here... since shed was minimum ) piercing the yarn can slow down knitting speed. I found the integrity of the yarn minimized the piercing problem. Great drape. Photo of corner or blanket that has not been washed or blocked yet

alapaca socks - fit for a Queen [or King] or your little Prince or Princess
fast ship, and wonderful wonderful yarn. bought the steel blue [and just wish there were a peach and/or pink]. bought to make socks for myself... there is nothing softer and/or more wonderful than alpaca for socks.... and remember! once only froyalty could wear this fabric!!last knit alpaca for socks when my dad was dying of cancer... and he loved them sooo much. said they were so soft they helped his pain.don't miss this opportunity. ps... would recommend #2 needles for the socks - tried #1 in swatch, but felt it was a bit too stiff.pps - to AndeanSun... let me know plz if you ever do a peach and/or pink... and would be glad to design for you as well :)

Amazing yarn
Amazing yarn. I waited until I started working with this to review it. I’m working this as a double strand on large needles (knitting). It’s a dream to feel this between your fingers and I haven’t noticed any bothersome shedding yet. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again.

Beautiful yarn
This AndeanSun baby alpaca yarn has been a pleasure to work with! It has a nice soft touch with a little stretch. It is a true DK weight, has a nice twist, and good stitch definition. I used it to make a cowl as a gift and it turned out beautiful. While I have found baby alpaca on sale for less, the price of 28.99 for three skeins is not bad, especially since it is quality yarn.

Yarn So Soft It Almost Melts In Your Hands!
Lovely soft, almost buttery, yarn. And for such a fine gauge yarn it has nice loft and knits up beautifully thick and rich (I'm using no. 5 needles for my project). Great seller too! Quick, friendly response to my inquiry about dye lots. I will be buying yarn from her again. Oh, and one more thing: delivery was very fast; my knitting needles were clicking away just a few days after placing order. Thanks, Claudia!
