Practical Jinn Magick: Rituals to Unleash the Powers of The Fire Spirits (Magick of Darkness and Light) Kindle Edition

Honestly, I have not worked through enough of these evocations to have a very in-depth perspective of my own on the workings of this type of magic. However, my experience so far husband interesting. Actually, I was very hesitant to get into Djinn Magic because the whole concept of an entity that exists between worlds, within the spiritual and the physical simultaneously, is a little creepy to me. LOL but I am a very curious and explorative person, so I will try a lot of things once before I really decide how I feel about it.I say that my experience with the Jinn magick is interesting, because I am a sun sign Sagittarius and have a stellium in Sagittarius in my natal astrology. Typically, while working with demons, Angels or other entities, I can distinctly sense the presence and get a feel of the personality of the entity even before completing the evocation. Sometimes, simply by meditating on the name and the sigil, I'm able to pull information about the entity before ever working with it. So it was a surprise to me, that when I began working evocations of Djinn, I could not sense the presence of the entity. Even during the evocation! I did perform evocations concerning several different gin, on several different nights regarding several different situations that I was seeking assistance in. I did feel some results of the magic afterward, positively shifting situations as I had requested. But I simply could not feel the entity! I could not get a sense of the presence at all! And that really perplexed me.Well, I have a friend who also is a magic practitioner, and an astrologer. We started talking about the experience and contemplating why it was that perhaps I could not feel the energy of the presence of the Djinn, in comparison to other types of entities. And interesting lie enough, we came to the conclusion that perhaps it is because I myself am ruled by fire in my natal chart of astrology. With four planets in Sagittarius, I embody a lot of fire energy, similar to The Djinn! We are both entities of Fire! and with that insight, it made me remember something from doing psychic work with clients of my own... That when there's an energy you are trying to perceive that is very similar to your own, it is very difficult to pick up on it. Although when there's an energy that is very different to your own, it does not resonate to you, so the difference is More poignant and easy to discern.... anyway, all of that to say that my experience with Jen magic has been interesting and taught me a few things, or at least got me thinking about magic a little more deeply. I feel as though I really would love to work more Magic from this book and work with these entities more, although maybe because of all the horror movies out about Djinn, LOL, it gives me the heebie-jeebies a little bit! Haha. but if my energy is so similar to that of the Jinn, should I be Nervous? Fire magic should come very natural to me, and so far I have never had a negative experience utilizing Jinn Magic from this grimoire. Rather, I find this brand of magic to be refreshing and unique and its own way. so it is definitely something I will experiment more with.

I had been practicing angelic Magick. As a lightworker energy, that was about as far as I was willing to go. I used the Angels of Wrath rituals to help with some situations and felt pretty comfortable doing so because in my experience, the angels will always work to the highest good and never use more strength than what is needed...and the changes may be external or they may be internal (i.e., a different perception of the situation or a change in beliefs, or courage to make a change). But then I went through a dark, angry, painful period where I felt at odds with my own faith and I wanted to lash out at some cruel, privileged people and rapidly mold some circumstances in my favor and I no longer cared anymore about working toward the good of all. I was hurting and just felt like I was buried alive and that nobody, not even the God I love or the angels I love, could hear my cries for mercy. I felt my life was in shambles and I needed something like Jinn Magick because I thought it would be more aggressive and I would get results. So, the day I got the book, I opened it began reading it. I was sitting in my favorite sacred space for performing rituals and working with oracle. Suddenly, I was disturbed by 5 or 6 flies...in my neat, tidy home where I rarely get evrn one fly upon opening a door. I had only been outdoors once that morning to check my mail and now suddenly in the evening, there suddenly appeared this small swarm of flies that wouldn't leave me be. They flew into my lamp knocking against the bulb. This is something I have never seen flies do. Usually a fly goes straight for any food, fruit or waste basket you have or they will go behind window shades. They flew around my head. They kept lighting on the Jinn Magick book. But I was persistent in my efforts to continue studying the book. They were too fast to kill with a swatter so I became impatient and sprayed insect spray...in my sacred space...something I had never done and now regret. They flies left but I never saw their dead bodies anywhere after the spray fumes died down and I returned to the space to continue reading. I read some more in the book and saw that I needed black candles. I looked locally but could not find them so I ordered them (and spent more than I thought they were worth but figured the ritual outcomes might justify it). When my black candles arrived, I had prepared the dark room necessary to perform the rituals. I thought I would perform my first ritual that night after work, but when I picked up the book again, another swarm of 5 or 6 flies came and again, they were alighting on me and the book. I know this sounds like fantasy to some but this really did happen to me....just your ordinary, average lightworker. It's rare for me to get instantaneous warnings...which may be why I ignored it. I feel energy so this time, in addition to the sign of flies, I felt fearful and foreboding. And when I put the book down, the flies left. I didn't spray. They just went somewhere and once again, I never found any dead fly bodies anywhere in my home even though all the doors and windows were closed. I realized then that this was a sign my higher guidance was not going to let me ignore...so I never got to do a single ritual...which is why I give the book 3 stars. It feels unfair to give it one star because it wasn't for me. And who knows,, maybe it isn't for me now. Maybe it will never be for me. I don't know. Maybe it is for someone else but God knew my soul wouldn't be right for interacting with the Jinn. Even though the author assured that you won't make direct contact, that angels would act as intercessors, I was warned twice that it wasn't for me. I have had an instance where some entities seemed to be attached to my energy field and maybe, with the Jinn being described as rather ruthless if left to their own devices, I was in danger of some rather dangerous entities becoming attached to me and my Source and guides said "No!"

I personally love occult authors that cut out the pomp, the poetry and psychodrama and keep the practical working techniques. I see magick as a functional artisanal craft more than art and I appreciate Corwin Hargrove’s approach that provides foundations with sound magickal repeatable reasoning.I’d recommend this book to anyone instated in working with the Djinn, especially westerners as it’s written in a very accessible way for western running.I’d also encourage those with preconceptions, positive or negative, about Djinn or calling superior spirits to ‘compel’ them… It want what I thought. You will have enough data to make up your own mind if you give it a chance and read it, and in my opinion, there’s no such thing as too much data, only poor information management.

Another excellent book from Mr Hargrove. Whilst I have enjoyed all his previous books, and had results with them, I think he has really surpassed himself with this book on the Jinn. The book has a tremendous amount of information on them, and many rituals to suit your purpose, such as taking revenge on enemies, to promote love, and to bring money and success. The rituals are clearly explained and set out, and I'm very grateful for such a book as this, explaining how to work with the Jinn safely. I cant wait to try it out!

Another great book from Corwin Hargrove. Really enjoyed getting into the practice of Jinn Magick. While some people might argue that it is simplistic I don't think so at all. It just strips away unnecessary stuff and sticks to what actually works. It's up to you how you use the information in this book. I think it is definitely worth a try!

A no fluff book on a very interesting subject clearly written instructions for rituals very do able for a beginner..with some protection if things dont go as desired ...have completed my first ritual and will update in due course....the rituals can be adapted to address any situation...my advise would be read it at least twice take notes then DO IT! This is a very good addition to my collection and am sure will be a regular go-to for me

Concise and straight forward, I love this style of writing. It's accessible and yet suitable for someone who has been practicing magic for 20yrs.

Very clear insrtuctions...awaiting the perfect time to practice.
