Out with the old and in with the new
It is beautiful My bathroom has sea foam green tile trimmed in burgundy from the 40's how ever the old Crome soap dish was begging to show its age.and I never really used it even tho it had a little wash cloth bar. The second I saw this one I thought wow! I had been looking for a vintage dish that might lean on the sea shell side look. This one has it all and more, the sea shell shaped spam dish has a hole for good drainage that help your bar of soap to last longer. Then you have the added bounds of the flat top shelf for my Costco size shampoo bottle & conditioner with nice drain lip on the back edges.Once I figured the wright products to instal it with it went in like a charm and looks professional and like it came from the 40's.Compared to the cost of other out there close to it. This was a way better deal even paying for shipping. It fit perfect and looks like it was a part of the orgrnail installation. i could not be more happy with the look and utilitarian use!

No Mechanical Fastening
This is a very well designed double-tiered white porcelain soap dish (or shelf on top, soap on bottom). If you do your homework you will see that it is meant to be adhered only, either with something like Gorilla Glue, silicone, or grouted-in as part of a tile wall. I don't see that as a problem, as long as you are not surprised by it.It drains really nicely and looks great on the wall. No more nasty finger-printed, stained, rusty chrome soap dish!I recommend it.

Perfect solution for the problem
Had to replace a broken soap dish in a rental condo. Finding right size that looked nice was challenging in older retrofit. This was perfect! After challenge of getting old one out without damaging surrounding tile this beauty fit like it was original. The little shelf is much more practical than the handle on the old soap dish.

The concept is a really good one.
The concept is a really good one ....but the soap bowl portion is way too small for most soap bars, at least the ones I have used. it is too shallow and too narrow the soap keeps sliding out. it needs to be at least 1 inch deeper and 1 inch wider than it is. I would go an inch and one half if I were to redesign it. The top shelf is what saved a lower rating from me. The shelf is a great idea and handy.

Saved our bathroom
The stainless steel soap dish holder that had been in our bathroom there was in really rough shape. It measured 6-1/4 x 6-1/4. I pulled it out thinking I could run to a big box hardware store and replace it. I was wrong. The few soap dishes they had were too small to fill the hole in our wall. Long story short, I finally found this one on amazon which actually (barely) covered the hole. It saved the day and we are very pleased with it.

No more soggy soap.
The first one was broken when I received it, But was promptly replaced with fast shipping. I have installed it in my shower and it looks great. Shampoo sets on top with soap bar on bottom. Small hole in bottom shelf allows wet soap to drain dry so no half soggy bar at next shower. I am thinking of getting on to install over my tub. You only have to remove one square tile to install.

The gap to wall is too wide.
The product looks very nice and solid, the gap from the back of the unit to the shower wall however is too wide, about a quarter of an inch. It takes so much caulk to fill the gap and looks awful afterward. I believe the design in the back is somewhat backward. The square ceramic portion of the back to hold the glue stick to the wall, instead of sticking out which causes the quarter inch gap, should be dented in. If so, when you fill the glue into this dent pocket and press against the wall, the unit will be tightly gap less with the wall, and any extra glue will fall into the hole in the center of the dent. No glue will spread all over and messy to 4 sides of the unit like the design as is.
