I got these because I like everything in the description - dark dark chocolate, strawberry and coconut. However these are by far the most bitter, honestly...disgusting (I'm sorry) chocolate bars I've ever eaten. I checked the expiry date after taking a bite it was so gross, wondering if I had gotten some old bars or something. On the package it even describes these bars as "not overwhelmingly bitter", but that was not my experience. Perhaps if I had a more refined palette or was somebody who ate raw cacao I would feel differently. But I would caution you even if you like dark chocolate. This is not the same.

I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews about it being too bitter. In all honesty it was actually LESS bitter than I was expecting, which I was pleasantly surprised to find. I only drink my coffee black so maybe that's why I didn't find it to be overly bitter. I honestly bought this because I've been wanting to add a healthy cacao product to my nutrition regimen and Raaka kept coming up in searches as being a reputable brand/product so I gave it a try. I only ate 1/2 of 1 of the 3 bars in the box and I'm already ready to order up some more. Plan is to eat 1/2 a bar a day. It sounds weird but I did actually feel the mood uplifting effects after eating. Might just be placebo effect, haha. I'd say definitely worth a shot if you're a dark chocolate fan and/or wanting a try a healthy cacao product.

This chocolate is actually quite delicious with low sugar content and good cocoa percentage. In the past it was sent in something that protected the bars but this time it was sent in a plastic pouch and arrived both broken in sooo many pieces and partly melted. I plan to place another order but if the shipping is the same I will not reorder again.

This might be tremendous for a dark chocolate lover. I bought because I was looking for soy free, dairy free milk chocolate and it said coconut milk and only 60% cacao. I've had 72%, which is at the edge of my bitter preference, that was much milder and smoother (too me) than this.I did note the coconut milk in the aftertaste, and strong overtones which reminded me of a dry red wine. I'd hoped that at 60% it would be much milder. Unfortunately this was some of the bitterest chocolate I've ever tasted (given that I tend to avoid the stronger dark chocolates). Even baking chocolate which is a lot flatter in flavor. So recommend for dark chocolate fans, but if you are trying to steer clear of bitter, wouldn't recommend.

Bitter doesn't even come close to describe these. I'm not sure if you can use them for baking, or if adding stevia or another type of sweetener would even help. Just taking 1 bite though, was more than enough to turn me off from dark chocolate for good! I purchased this product bc I'm on Keto, and just wanted something to satisfy my sweet tooth. The taste is disgusting and the texture while you're chewing it is pasty, almost chalky, and definitely not what I'd expected. Buyer beware.

The flavor was very good, the richness of the chocolate and the hints of the strawberry were apparent in every bite. The best part is i was looking for a gluten free, vegan substitute as some of the ingredients don't sit well with me. The flavor of regular chocolate bar is still the best but this is a very good fix if your sweet-tooth needs a fix but you need to stay away from certain ingredients. I definitely recommend it!

I first ordered the Best Sellers Trio, and enjoyed all three bars, but the Bourbon Cask Aged was truly exceptional! Ordered another 3-pack right away.The "Bourbon" part of this is something of a sales gimmick (there's no bourbon in the chocolate), but for an 82% cacao bar, this chocolate was as smooth as any shot of Old Rip Van Winkle 25-Year-Old bourbon! Flavorful, fruity, and perfectly balanced!

This is my second favorite flavor of the Raaka chocolate bars. These however were noticeably older, had been kept in a place that was not optimal to retain freshness, or handled poorly because they were dried out, broken, and tasted stale. I ate them anyway because due to their being gluten, dairy, and soy free, they are one of a small number of desserts I can eat without severe pain. Fast shipping, reasonably priced.
